24 is WAY too many. You have to balance the value of the regular season with inclusion of worthy teams. I can see arguments for as many as 12, but even then you would have several with no shot at winning it all. Only a select few teams have the talent, depth, and coaching to beat 2-3 top 4-8...
No doubt. Buying a ticket doesn’t entitle you to that. You pay to see the players to what they do, not to mob them like British paparazzi.
Koepka may sound like sour grapes, but he has a point. The guy spent all that time and hard work rehabbing the knee, and these people acting like rabid...
Ohio State and Clemson are right there as well.
I just know when we have a lot of new faces at LB and especially DB, no matter how talented, it takes time to gel and become a strong working unit. DL is an area newbies can come in and much more easily contribute from day 1, at least in our system.
In the last 8 years of the BCS, you had 10 programs reach the title game, 5 of which did do multiple times. 5 different programs won titles. In the first 7 years of the CFP, 11 different programs have reached the semis, with 6 reaching the final. 5 reached the CFP multiple times, and 3 did so...
Troy has wins over LSU, MSU, Mizzou, and Okie St. They have had several near misses as well. On one occasion, their pair of DEs was Demarcus Ware and Osi Umenyiora. They have shown they can play with the big boys.
In that CU game, the CU starters were in there other than Dabo’s usual...
Conference championships didn’t matter in 01 or 03, either.
In any event, players go to Bama for the reasons you cite. And the whole culture/“players don’t care about the program, just there to get draft spots” has proven to be bogus. Guys like Najee and DeVonta stayed an extra year because...
I agree with the last statement.
My team has lost multiple OT games by missed PATs. In fact, if placekicking didn’t exist we’d have a better record in general over the past decade plus. (At a minimum, there would’ve been no kick 6. Ugh!!!!!!)
That paper does not support going for 2 every time, only going for 2 after the first TD when you are down by 14. It does depend on the efficacy of your kicker. We went for 2 a lot my junior year, largely because our place kicking was just plain bad.
They’re the worst team in the league with a new coach and new QB.
Attention from a local star isn’t the worst thing for them. Now if this were a contender, it could be a bigger issue.
For those complaining, does it really matter if they go 4-12 with or without Tebow?
