Is there an impact player this draft or maybe a few, this may be a good time to try and make a move?

I guarantee that in the end their going to go with whatever is working, right now Torts has the upper hand because he is succeeding. But other than that you're correct.:yo:

Dudes already like 6'7", just need to fatten him up a bit.

Not only that, but a few games is hard to tell his total skill set.

True but it's only for 2 years, I'd like to see him with a full season with us.

I say buy Atkinson out and put Johansen on LTIR. Funny how that dude was injury free and playing prior to his trade. But yeah he not good at the hockey no more.

I think I read if they buy him out it'll be like 2.35 mil for this season and 1.7 for the following. Not sure that's correct.

The article is misleading though, Atkinson and Hayes situations are totally different. Atkinson is at the end of his career for sure. Hayes has a few left but his lazy style of play was never going to fit with Torts.

I guess I don't understand why we can't just buy him out, he's never going to play again.

Can't wait to see if this has what it takes to be an NHLer.

I agree with you, mine was hypothetical as well, and like we both said, moving those contracts isn't going to happen unfortunately.

Actually management has quite a bit to work with this off season, unlike previous years. What he does will be the key to which direction this team is headed. I definitely don't think we need Delaurius, Johnson, Staal or Ristolinan, Atkinson and possibly Coots, yes Coots, loved the kid and always...

Not gonna hate on anyone or anything about this season. So much more growth than I would have thought at the beginning of the year. I can only hope we get stronger next season and our goalie situation is straightened out. Hopefully this built a hunger in these young kids to want to win.

Hope your right and yes losing Hart was a huge blow!

Just think had we won one or two of our previous games we wouldn't be in this position.

Too bad we couldn't at least get two more good efforts previously, we may still be in it.

Not surprising nor should it be. If I truly had to point a giant finger for the biggest reason is goaltending! Amazing how it always kills us.

https://clutchpoints.com/flyers-news-sean-couturier-blunt-words-controversial-benching-return This is the best article I've found that sounds credible. No where in there does Coots say he wasn't sat down and told what the deal was, just says he was a little upset, but also recognized the...

Also just to add, if This is just my opinion, Torts pushed a bunch of kids and some close to washed up vets to a chance at a playoff birth. These players are playing a game with million dollar contracts, he has a million dollar contract to manage these assets and get the millions of worth out...

Yep, gotta be able to decipher that bad play isn't the result of the coach, why with a 10 game stretch run do you decide to just stop playing for a guy who pushed you to that point?

All the players you mentioned here can be on their way this summer, especially Coots and Atkinson. It's time to move past these prima donnas we keep getting and find some players who actually want to compete night in and night out. Either way, wether they were tanking on purpose or they just...
