Genius! But I'm really impressed with how bravely you've been dealing with that horrific 6 minute commute up to now, that's probably the toughest hardship I've ever heard of anyone having to face.
Honors, once again you have hit the nail squarely on the head. My Stanford colleagues here are howling in outrage about being collateral damage in the cartel's coordinated diss against UCF. None of them have done any useful work in weeks, I have to keep yelling at them to focus on their jobs.
Been mostly reading non-fiction lately, and recently enjoyed:
Empire of the summer moon - S.C. Gwynne
Apollo 8 - Jeffrey Kluger
Blood and Thunder - Hampton Sides (currently reading, not quite done, good so far)
the days of coaches handing out sacks of cash are long gone, so anyone's opinion of whether their favorite coach is clean or not is utterly irrelevant. Paying players has been outsourced to the booster network, and every single school does it, even the sucky ones, otherwise they would have...
@UCFhonors, don't let the naysayers get you down. That's the best way to toughen up the players, in a rusty old weight room and not some luxury spa.
If the players are a bunch of candy asses that want to exercise in an air-conditioned room with plush carpeting and soft music, what are they...
I would be for it. Not too much Mexican food around here, would be a nice treat for the players to get the opportunity to dine at those luxurious Taco Bells we've been hearing about.
While we are all overjoyed that you can now comment publicly, the delays have raised some concerns about the skills of your legal team and the complexity of the NDAs in question. Did they struggle with the fine print? Do they need new glasses? Have you considered sacking them and replacing...
It's a good start, but they are not going far enough. They should also penalize fans who don't cheer loud enough, or have some non-football related conversation with their neighbors, or don't dump enough beer on opposing fans' heads, etc.
If I was a wealthy butthead who was content to have their kid party on campus and not attend classes, I would just set them up in an apartment near the school and not even bother with tuition and fees, let alone bribes.
Take days off work? that's for t-shirt bandwagoners!
Real fans like me quit their jobs each year to attend the spring camps, and then look for new ones when the practices are over.
So if a large market team gets the first pick, that confirms the lottery was fixed.
And if the team with the first pick selects a local favorite, it was also fixed that year as well. (Inconceivable they might wish to fill seats).
Only in years where a small market team used the pick on a...
