Cheers!
I had already moved to Seattle in 1980. I associate Harry Caray more with the White Sox. I fondly recall hearing Jack Brickhouse on my Dad's old B&W TV in the basement on Sunday afternoons.
I have waited my whole life for this season. Cubs fan since 1966. I remember riding on school busses from the Town Hall of my Western Suburbs village to Wrigley that summer, with a whole bunch of other neighborhood kids. Ron Santo & Ernie Banks. This year is glorious. I was planning to visit...
I met up with about five other guys to watch Super Bowl XVIII between the Redskins and the Raiders at my buddy's house. We started drinking at 9:30 AM PT while cooking a massive breakfast. The kickoff was not until 3:30 PM PT, and we were completely wasted by then. The game turned into a...

Not bad - 3 out of 4, with the miss being due to obvious homerism. Yet I only went 1 for 4 on Pick'ems, against the spread. I guess I will postpone that trip to Las Vegas next Fall for another year.
Good Luck to you. The team that emerges out of these 4 in the NFC will be a worthy, battle-tested representative in SB 50, no matter which one wins out. :D
Nothing against Carolina or Green Bay, but it seems to me that both ARZ and SEA fans would love an NFCW rubber match in the Championship game. Each team would like to prove that their earlier win was no fluke.
One way to look at this is: which teams lack experienced, playoff-tested QBs? That was seemingly a pretty huge factor last weekend. If Big Ben is out, Pitt will clearly be at a disadvantage, assuming Manning can go. If Ostweiler plays, I dunno. RE Kansas City: Alex Smith had a decent game last...
I only see one game that may get out of hand, and that is Arizona vs. Green Bay. And, in this case, by Blowout I mean a Final score of Arizona 31-17, or thereabouts.
Throw in Denver too for the AFC West angle. But I would love to see Kansas City. They were the team that abruptly ended Seattle's 8-game winning streak in 1984 and crushed the Hawks' confidence 34-7 just before the playoffs started. That team never fully recovered from that loss at Arrowhead.
Jakology, I am willing to accept this confession at face value. If it is an attention-getting ploy, it will be short-lived, cuz it paints you into a corner that it would be hard to get out of. A TON of people on Internet Forums create sock puppet accounts and talk to themselves every day. But it...
I loved it, and not just because the Hawks survived. Bridgewater was outstandng in his first playoff appearance. That team should dominate the NFC North next season. The Bears are a year or two away, and GB and DET are past their respective 'windows', IMO.
Preach it, brother. Trust me, you are not alone.
Anybody remember Pittsburgh vs. Detroit, Thanksgiving Day, 1998?
Folks, do not confuse SELECTED games being rigged with EVERY game being rigged
NFL = Not Fully Legit
