wow. you're literally the only person i've seen who has had a negative opinion about the match and Bel-Air. Who hurt you?
also, your opinion isn't fact. it's an opinion. a horrible one, but an opinion nonetheless.
There's some people and gimmicks that absolutely need crowds and one of them is Elias. Piped-in crowd noise isn't gonna do the trick there. I mean, he isn't a main event player anyways, but he always makes it work and makes it entertaining when he has a crowd to play to.
I said this on Twitter but this series gave me Spurs/Heat 2014 vibes. Obviously it wasn't near the importance of it since it was first round, but Milwaukee was pissed about losing last season and just came out and smacked Miami in every game. Even Game 4 was like the Game 5 of that 2014 series...
Looking back at that loss to Philly (where they did NOT call a shot-clock violation and gave Philly 2 free points), and DeJounte left Shake fucking Milton wide open, that's the one game in the bubble that hurt them the worst.
Before that...losses to teams like Chicago, Detroit, even Cleveland...
It's funny you say that, because a lot of Spurs fans feel like their front office has been terrible in the past few years in terms of drafting young stars. I don't think the front office has been bad, I think the decision to hold them in the G-League has been bad.
I say that, and Keldon also...
Spurs did a ton better in the bubble than I expected. I called 2-6 or 1-7. The future is looking really bright if guys like Forbes/Belinelli get less minutes, and Keldon Johnson and Derrick White can take their spots. The youth movement is underway in San Antonio, and while the streak is over...
It's a real bitch move verbally committing and then backing out, especially considering the Spurs traded away a sharpshooter in order to get him. So he leaves, they're fucked.
I have seen quite a few people saying they're just average and aren't a good shooting team. Their offense wasn't the issue last year. The defense was, and that improved IMMENSELY this off-season.
There's a very possible chance that a team can win 50 in the West and miss the playoffs. Multiple teams could be in that boat. My 8 right now in no order:
Jazz
Clippers
Lakers
Spurs
Rockets
Warriors
Blazers
Nuggets
Don't think the Pels get there THIS year. Think they just miss out.
