Disney has the facilities, lodging , and of course the affiliation with ABC, ESPN, etc..
Along with all of that, comes higher risk to exposure.
I understand the mindset to finish the season, but in reality it is an experiment that can go either way.
IF, it goes the wrong way, how do they move...
Actually, it was the opposite.
The Heat quickly raised ticket prices, and/or yanked a bunch of inventory from normal sales avenues to sell through 3rd party sites as soon as they knew LeBron was coming.
They knew if would have a direct impact on pricing out some people from being able to attend...
Corruption is everywhere, so if there is money to be stolen it will be.
No way it can be totally accurate.
I believe the number being accepted by the White House is the number John Hopkins puts out, which just passed 80,000.
Ive never heard them question it.
Has anyone else?
I agree with that.
Doesnt change the fact that the guidelines weren’t written like that or amended.
That being said, many heavily populated areas didn’t follow the protocol to qualify for stage 1 and the people who set those guidelines have been for the most part silenced for near 2 weeks now.
As they said they would be, and had to be.
At least they are based off of unbiased , inputed data into scientific models.
You quote the word experts, like they aren’t?
They are touted as the best we have.
They have no motive to try to sway public opinion.
What do you suggest?
If you haven’t noticed, the information that was coming to us from the science experts, has been shut down.
I understand it isn’t the science experts job to worry about the economy but it is pretty evident that Trump doesn’t want people to hear the science related opinions any more.
I didnt suggest overall mortality rate at 5%.
I said less then 5% of our population has been tested.
Plus, as we’ve learned, testing negative today doesn’t mean you wont be positive tomorrow.
Throw in the 15% of inaccurate results, and what you have is a giant cluster fuck.
Doesn’t ‘ the more testing’ equate to less than 5% of our total population being tested so far?
In addition, reported death counts are higher then reported if you consider that death certificates can be 1-8 weeks behind, plus all the other nonsense going on like Florida only counting deaths from...
It's not even realistic IMO to think it's even possible to stay below 100k.
While it appears it's safe to get back to some normalcy in parts of the country, it's not in heavily populated areas.
I predict the idiocy in Florida alone is a lock to directly impact 20K+ more people dying.
Chances are in a couple/few more weeks it will be the beginning of seeing another spike.
Look what's going on with the rest of the world. South Korea was praised for doing things right and they are already having a second wave by not waiting long enough.
Those place will soon have followed the guidelines and will be operating under phase 1 rules.
The people protesting in heavy populated problem areas are what we were discussing.
