And Wade is another year older.

As I said, I'm trying hard to justify this signing.

I just don't see Durant going to Miami. An aging Wade. A questionable Bosh. A shallow roster.

I'm looking at his game, not stats. Assuming the knee is good, he is an above average center and fits a big need for the Lakers. If there are only two guaranteed years, the contract isn't so bad.

With the Heat? Can they even afford Durant anymore?

Are the folks banging on the Mozgov contract also banging on the Noah contract?

I'm glad the Lakers didn't commit that to Turner.

Certainly better defending it than Mozgov. I was talking on offense. Mozgov is very efficient as a dive man. Sets strong screens as well.

Let's not act like Biyombo has huge upside though.

That's good to hear. By the 4th year, Zubac will be destroying the league and the Lakers won't need Mozgov anymore. :heh:

Dumb to compare the contracts of Jefferson and Mozgov without considering Jefferson likely wanting to play for a potentially contending team. I don't think he takes a lesser salary to play for a rebuilding team.

True, but knowing what you are getting isn't necessarily a bad thing. And they are getting a good center in Mozgov assuming the knee is good.

Maybe they weren't that interested in Whiteside. Leaks can only be trusted to a certain degree. Nobody had a clue that the Lakers were interested in Mozgov. If the 4th year is a team option, the contract looks a little better.

What drug? The NBA needs to change its policy on marijuana in my opinion. It's medicinal!

Jordan is excellent in the pick and roll. Biyombo not so much. The Mozgov signing doesn't thrill me, but he does fit a position of need for the Lakers.

Lakers OFFICIALLY DONE until Jim Buss is gone

I like Mitch. I also think the two younger Buss boys, along with Ryan West, are on an upward trajectory as NBA front office executives. Perhaps elevate Mitch to President of Basketball Operations and Ryan West to General Manager once Jimmy is gone next summer.

All he gives you is rim protection though. Mozgov is at least very effective in the pick and roll.

Lakers Agree To Deal With Mozgov

Mozgov fits their needs better though. If his knee is good, it's not that bad of a signing.
