Why raise the stakes of an exhibition game? The All-Star has always been what it is. 3 quarters or so of matador defense followed by a quarter or so of actually trying to win. The fate of the finals should not be determined by an exhibition game, especially when there are players on each side...
Hey @bksballer89 Why is the Heat's defensive efficiency worse with Whiteside on the court compared to on the bench? Does he get himself out of position trying to block too many shots? It's an interesting variance.
Go with the jersey that fits
Have fun man. It will be curious to see how many Lakers fans are there representing. 10 years ago there were lots of them chanting MVP for Kobe. Loved that. MVP chants for a Lakers player at the Gahhhdin!
I haven't watched many Cavs games this season. I'm curious why Lebron's percentages are down. Since going back to Cleveland, his FG%'s are way down. 24.8% from deep this season. Outside the paint his numbers aren't great. Inside the paint his numbers are lower than in Miami. Even his FT% is...
He listed the Spurs as one of the top 5 teams he faced over his career.
Ask Kobe this question a few weeks from now and I bet the list is slightly different.
They are both combo-ish guards. I think it will be a matter of them balancing who is leading the offense and who is playing off-ball. Ultimately Russell should be the one running the offense the majority of time. Haven't checked recently, but Clarkson's catch-and-shoot numbers have been pretty...
Kobe deferring more to Lakers' young players, says Scott
Now, Bryant's minutes are down, his shot selection has improved and, for the time being, the third-leading scorer in NBA history appears to have found more of a balance between trying to take over games and deferring to his younger...
The only part of Scott knowing what he was doing with having D'Lo come off the bench is that he is at least coming of the bench with Randle. The more those two play together the better.
All last year we heard from folks like you, getting pissy with every win. They ended up with the #2 pick. Why not enjoy watching the growth of the youth and let the chips fall where they do? That pick is top 3 protected next season as well. It more than likely gets conveyed this season or next.
He's been playing good basketball these last several games. You can see him getting more comfortable with the flow of the NBA. He is dictating more than being reactionary on offense.
I should clarify then that they can give him a max contract if it fits within the salary cap. With the cap holds for Wade, etc., I don't think they'll be enough under the cap to offer as much as other teams can. With Bird Rights, that doesn't matter. They could go over.
I do. I don't think they are merely a function of playing on a bad team. He has good length and athleticism and is a gym rat. He is shooting 41% from deep, up from 31% last season. He'll keep working his ass off once he gets that first big contract. I think he has a bright future in this league...
