That heavy body mass wears out the joints as well. It's a good idea for him longevity wise. Can he develop aspects of his game (ie. improved perimeter shooting) to counterbalance the inevitable loss of athleticism?
We'll see what happens. I have a lot more confidence in the Lakers getting back into contention than the Sixers. They won't keeping missing on the free agents.
It easy to say that they should have done this or could have done that when you really have no idea what discussions the front office has had with other teams. Just because one team made a trade doesn't mean that trade was available to all other teams in the NBA. It's a lot more complicated...
