Yanks screwed the pooch when they ignored Harpher and Machado in past free agent classes.
With Soto gone they are so much less scary
Judge is 33. Cole 34. Stanton 35. Rodon is good every other season and has plenty of injury concerns in his past. Gil has had 2 tommy john surgeries...
Mobley with 41 points on 16 of 23 shooting.
He is not gonna score like that every night because of the options and depth- but its good to see he can do it.
Cavs with 10 guys with double digit minutes....lot of depth.....Strus has yet to play too. Go into Denver and beat the Nuggets by double-digits while Jokic has a 27-20-11
44 points from the Cleveland bench. 16 from the Nugget bench.
To Jimmy Butler's credit- I did think hed be worse than he is by now- in his 15th season at age 35--- but you can def. see wear on the tires at this point.
Overall with the Heat- I think the Rozier move made sense- but I just think with Butler, Bam, and that Robinson deal there just hasnt been...
nice to see them destroy the Lakers- but the Lakers (another mid- team) are not very good away from home.
Heat do have, what? like the 5th best differential in the East though- which is something. Tonight def. helped.
def been a good one- but easily the best sneaky good pickup has been Ty Jerome. He is definitely playing himself into a contract for someone next year.
surprised to see the Cavs are the only NBA team to play 18 games too...esp. with the last 3 days off. They were really loaded up there for a few weeks.
now 2 more off days--- maybe Wade and LeVert will get back
man- Niang was throwing up bricks tonight 1/13
he didnt like 2 things
-every ripping on Bronny for clearly not deserving being in the NBA
-everyone ripping him for the Diddy parties. If you look at the comments on his posts like 75% are about Diddy and LeBron saying "Aint no party like a Diddy party- you know what im talking about"
Mitchell at about 31 minutes a night after tonight. For 16-1, and with the injuries- they have done really well making sure his minutes are not crazy. His first year in Cleveland he was at 38.6 minutes per night. At 41% from 3 right now.
Ty Jerome might be the best low-key signing in the league this offseason. Getting a very solid backup Pg for practically nothing. Not gonna keep up 54% from 3- but he has absolutely been a really nice addition to the rotation.
Cavs are deep.
1. Mitchell
2. Mobley
3. Garland
4. Allen
5...
not having Okoro, Wade, LeVert and Strus made it tough but they still had a chance. I liked the fight in them though. I am not glad they lost obviously but there is definitely a silver lining that the pressure to keep this up is off them now. A fairly light 4 games coming up before Boston at...
I agree. Not their best game and still only 3 on the road. Mitchell looked rough in the first half too. Just gotta keep playing their game and hopefully get a little healthier. Losing Strus alone isnt a big deal- hate when they start losing multiple rotation guys. They still had plenty to...
Near the beginning of the season I thought that the Cavs goal should be the 2 seed and making it to the ECF.
If they lose before the ECF to a fully healthy and rolling Sixers team with Embiid, Maxey and George---- or the Knicks start rolling with Towns, Bridges, Brunson, OG- it'll be a bummer...
if they can get past Boston then 20-0 is on the table.........after those 4 games after Boston -- then they get Boston again at home.
All considering- I think its likely it stops Tuesday and that would not be the worst thing. Starts carrying some pressure at some point. I would like to see...
