The last four teams standing:

Patriots: Tom Brady
Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger
Packers: Aaron Rodgers
Falcons: Matt Ryan

Three hall of game QBs and one pretty good QB having a career season.

In other words, it's all about the QB. Either you have a special one, or you don't matter.

Teams like the Texans and Chiefs basically don't matter despite being loaded in many areas.

Matt Ryan is one Super Bowl away from being a HoFer himself. Gotta have a QB on this league. That's why what Denver did last year was so amazing

It has always been the overwhelmingly important position in the NFL.

If James Harrison wasn't so short it could have easily been Alex Smith instead of Roethlisbeger.

Every defense left has gotten better throughout the year. Drew Brees had a hell of a year and is a HoF QB. Phillip Rivers played great most of the year. Luck threw for over 30TDs.

You have to have defense and QB playing well. Just as it's always been. Brad Johnson had a great playoffs. Trent Dilfer hit a 38 TD to start the scoring in his SB win and a 96 TD to start the scoring in the AFCCG.

It's too quarterback-oriented for my liking, but I get it with the casual fan being more interested. With the league set up as it is, passing has never been easier in NFL history than it is today. Coupled that with the salary cap and free agency, that one position determines wins and losses moreso now than ever before....and I don't think that's good.

People are awfully quick to elevate QB's once they win in the playoffs. It's a feedback loop.

Yes, one of the best regular season QB's around. He really needs another SB win to put him in a different class than say, Brad Johnson.

You have a magic ball or something? I like Ben's chances with 2+ mins and couple of TOs to get a ANOTHER FG...lol

I agree 100% on the improving DEFs as it relates to the Steelers and Falcons...no way PIT or ATL are in this position w/o the DEFs getting better as the season went along. The Patriots D is not really stout, but they've been steady all season and GB just caught fire with an unreal QB.

Any of the 4 remaining can win the SB imo because of the QB play and the fact that none of the DEFs are on the level of DEN LY.

Teams win and lose games not just Qb's. Quit watching ESPN because it brainwashes simple minds like yourself. I guess Dan Marino wasn't any good. Team game QB's don't play defense and special teams. Simple minded idiots everywhere. Peace.

New England and Pitt are fairly well balanced imo. The QB is essential but its not like Green Bay or Atlanta where a drop in QB play would immediately doom them.

A pansy PI called on the Cowboys saved his ass last night. That pick should have been game over right then and there.

How? The Cowboys never led besides 3-0 in the first Q. Get a grip on reality and quit being an envious hater. Recognize son.

Not even close.
He will finish top 5-10 in every conceivable QB stat by the time his career is over. Just entering his prime now and already in the top 20 in most. If he wins a SB with those stats he's a lock much like Brees is a lock
