Tony Romo was quoated saying he wants to play for Denver..

See what happens this off-season. You knew Denver will be a well talked about landing spot for Romo.

I was thinking that Houston would be in the running as well

I know there have been disparaging remarks about Romo - age and health - and they are legitimate concerns especially if the OLine doesn't improve but i also think Romo can do good things in Denver - at the very least be a good mentor for both Siemian and Lynch

If we bring Romo in I would say Siemian would then be gone. Basically I see it as we either bring Lynch and Siemian both back, of we bring a vet in and keep Lynch and shop Siemian.

To much money. To old and banged up. If he couldn't handle playing a full season in how long at Dallas what makes anyone think in the cold with the o line that may change that he can last for a full season? This would be a disaster if Denver would make this move. Just because he is a big name and gets the average fan all excited doesn't mean it's the correct move. If he gets cut and comes in on a 1 year deal dirt cheap that would be the only way Denver should consider it. Peace.

Not saying I am pro or con in bringing Romo in but I would assume he would be taking a bit of a paycut if wants to get to where he wants to go.

I am not in love with idea of Romo, but if it happens I will be able to rationalize it fairly easily.

I doubt the Broncos will be interested. They just reinvented the coaching staff on offense and now more than ever the conditions are right for them to give their 1st round draft pick a chance to take the lead role. They say they are going to go into camp with an open competition, but it still wouldn't surprise me to see the Broncos trade him if they felt the terms were right. In that case they'd bring in a vet backup and Lynch would be the assumed starter.

Again, I really doubt the Broncos are willing to go all in on a guy like Romo.

I don't see it, since McCoy's style for either younger qb is vastly different than one for Romo.

What will he cost the Broncos? You know Jerry Jones isn't going to give him away. With the Cowboys losing to the Packers as I type, he might be more valuable to Jerry than anyone else.

If Cowboys ask for too much he isn't coming to Denver. Simple. Hell, they still might not be interested considering how much he would cost to obtain, Elway's desire for Lynch to be the starter, and how big his cap hit is/length of contract. I don't think Elway will entertain a trade for Romo at this point and time.

I seriously doubt Jones will pay Romo to sit on the bench another year. Cowboys may try to get something for him, but they may not get much if teams think he will be released.

Nobody will. He's fragile, with a huge cap number, and they all know Dallas has to eat that contract whether they cut him or not. I'm betting he gets cut after June, and we'll likely have our backup by then.

This is my top concern. There are a myriad reasons why I don't like the idea of grabbing Romo but the costs are going to be high. I don't want to waste many draft picks for a guy that is a year or two from retirement. I don't want his current cap hit. If he is cut he can easily commend Osweiler money or more which, to me, is too much.

On the pre-game show today they said Denver isn't interested.
