I disagree.

Hoodie beats everybody.

After him, there are only a very small number of head coaches who actually make a difference in the NFL. There are bad ones, for sure, but if Saban landed in the right spot with good players, he would have success. If he wound up sonewhere like SF, he wouldn't. It is as simple as that.
That's what I thought about Chip Kelly, Steve Spurrier, Perrino, Switzer....until they've proven it, they get the label

It is ironic, because in that situation with 6 seconds and the ball at the 2, Bama should have immediately tackled every WR and taken the penalties. Clock runs too low for clemson to take another shot at the end zone and they likely settle for 3.

That is exactly what I told my brother in law as we were texting during the game.

All I can say about that is - - GLAD THEY DIDN'T !!!!!!!!!! Don't think my boys hearts could of taken another two or three over-times. YEA TIGERS !!!

Saban is different though. Everything that he runs is pro style. Kelly, Spurrier, etc., won with a gimmicky style. I don't think it is fair to compare him to them.

Like I said before, put him somewhere like Denver and he will win. Put him on a bad team and he won't. Just like 99% of all NFL coaches.

I dont think Bama would have survived OT. Their defense was done. Way too many 3 and outs for the offense.

That was truly a great game. My brother (who is a huge Clemson fan) was at the game in Tampa and it was nuts. I have always been a huge Clemson fan for my brother and the family legacy (Lefty's Dad graduated from there) and I always root for them against everybody except Miami, so I watch a lot of Clemson football every year. You guys may think I'm crazy, but I've watched Deshaun Watson a lot and for my money, he is best clutch college quarterback that I have ever seen. His 4th quarter numbers are insane and anybody that watched Clemson this year can tell you that he is at his best when it means the most. I've seen them on multiple occasions get the ball at the end of the first half with under 30 seconds left in their own territory and score points before the end of the half. They have so much trust in him that they will not just try and run the clock out which is awesome. He led them to come from behind wins against Louisville and Florida State in the 4th quarter and he threw for over 400 yards and had 4 total touchdowns in each game against the vaunted Alabama defense the last two years. There is nobody in the history of college football that I would rather have at quarterback with 2:00 remaining down by 4 and he proved that again last night. If anybody else can come up with somebody in college football that they'd rather have by all means, throw it out there. As for the Clemson season, yes it had its ups and downs as they had a lot of close games that shouldn't have been close, but I heard an interesting stat last night. This year, Clemson defeated the teams that won the last 7 college football championships (Alabama 4 times, Ohio State 1, Auburn 1, Florida State 1) which is pretty impressive. Another interesting stat for you. How many national champs do you think have ever had a negative turnover margin? Clemson's was -1 for the season and get this, it was -5 against Louisville (-2), Florida State (-1), and Alabama (-2) combined. Who says you have to win the turnover battle!!

I honestly think the success or failure for college coaches moving to the NFL lies in their ability to draft the right talent. Lets face it, in college they 'recruit' from the best of the best coming out of high school - they have eyes and ears all over the country. Also, the big name school have almost unlimited resource (administration, boosters, perks, history of greatness, etc) to offer those guys - I mean what high school athlete hasn't heard of Alabama or the other major colleges? The NFL is wayyy different in that they can't just go get who they want - they have to wait their turn in the draft.

So, since everything has kind of died down from a month ago or so, the constitution has been ratified, published, and no one has brought forth any concerns or complaints about it, I think our next order of business should be for me to pass the torch to the next commish.

A few names have been brought up as nominees, including Lefty and Tlance, a few have made it known they don't want the job..but before we get into it...is there anyone who has anyone in mind to nominate for the position, or volunteer for it?

Not sure if your being funny or actual unsure about character limits.:pound: Yeah every post has a limit on the # of characters ( symbols, letters etc.) Pretty rare to exceed that limit, but it can happen.

You actually feel your in danger of exceeding the limit of characters in a post? Have to be really wordy for that, kind of like the constitution. If it happens, just divide it into 2 posts.

I'm worried about the music links as well.

Which has me a little disappointed.
I tried making edited samples of the songs so you wouldn't have to play the entire song.
But Facebook doesn't like that I'm using copyrighted music in my movie spinets.
So I may have to post the entire songs.

Give it a shoot, the limit is fairly high...
