Why the fuck would you save that ball when England had the last touch? Do these women play soccer on a regular basis? Christ.

Well, as I said earlier, it was only a matter of time before Sesselmann cost Canada...

I thought I was the only person thinking this. TSN were building her up like she was something special; when she laid a dump on the field (on a number of occasions), she seemed to get a free pass.

There's some bright spots on that team, but I'm less than convinced that Herdman is the coach to get them to the next level.

Every bad move a Canadian made (and there were a lot of them) got a free pass from the commentary. It was like they were afraid to criticize at all.

0-0 between Portugal and Sweden in Prague. Portugal dominating in every way shape and form but can't get the ball on target or in the net other than one FK that banged off the bar. In short, Portugal U21 playing like Portugal A.

I don't really have a rooting interest in this match, I just hope it doesn't go to penalties because that's a terrible way to decide a final.

I usually don't care about youth tournaments either, but given that Portugal has been so strong both in this tournament and in the U-20's I think it would be sad as hell for them not to take something home. They went out of the U-20's to Brazil on penalties after dominating them for 120 minutes (but not scoring because Portugal) and they went on to shit the bed in the final so, hoping here.

Also, since 2004 the winners of the U-21 have been Italy (WC winner, Euro finalist), Spain twice (WC winner, Euro winner twice), Holland twice (WC finalist, WC semi-finalist) and Germany (WC winner, Euro finalist), so it seems to be a good omen.

Headed to extras. A little more even as it neared the end and Portugal's midfield tired. Sweden had 2 glorious chances but Jose Sá is a wall back there.

First I've really watched of this tournament, my god is this an awful display of soccer. My buddies and I in a pickup game would have more chemistry than these ladies. Give and goes but the one girl forgets to go so it's just a pass to the other team, stealing the ball just to turn it right back over, this is going to be a rough watch.

Oh my fucking God.

That may be the most brutal thing I have ever seen in sports.

Holy shit.
