3 things that stand out to me as obstacles the Rangers have not faced:

1: The Kings Depth. Rangers have had an advantage in the depth department, their 3rd/4th lines were better than the teams they faced. That's not the case here.

2: Quick will be the best goalie they have seen.

3: This is the most physical team they have faced. The Kings are a big, physical team that can get to the net, create screens and cause problems for Henrik. The only way to score on Lundqvist is with screens and deflections, the Kings can do that just about as well as anybody. Curious to see how the Rangers D handles a physical presence in front of their net.

Oh Kenny. I wont even get into it, just going to shrug it off as good gamesmanship :suds:

Once again, I prefer as the underdogs. Let the Rangers prove everybody wrong, again.

As crazy as it seems to me, I'm cheering for NY. Would have never predicted this possible 20 years ago.

But my hatred for LA (and Chicago) far outweigh my disdain for NY from 1994.

same, helps also I like AV and wish him a ring. And Henrik is one of my favs in the league as well.

Rangers go up 3-1, drop the next two, everyone writes them off, thinking there's no way they fly cross country with no momentum and win a game 7.

But they do.

Discounting what Gaborik has done this postseason is silly. The Kings have more weapons on offense than the Rangers, doesn't mean they'll lose or anything of the like. The Kings crash the net much more than the Rangers previous opponents. They're a completely different breed, and the Rangers will need to adjust to that quickly. Hank can steal the series for them, but they'll need him to stand tall all series or they'll crack. The Rangers aren't the offensive force that the Hawks are.

Especially because he loves to score on Lundqvist and I'm sure he'd love to stick it to his former team with the way he was run out of town.

Add to the fact that certain people critiquing him probably haven't really watched him play since his time in New York. Also, it's the playoffs, guys get hot and just seem impossible to stop. This guy's M.O since he's been in the league has been pure goal scorer...he's dangerous, and this postseason incredibly so.

Quick is nowhere close to being "ON" this post season. Tokarski played better last round than Quick has. On the other hand this will definitely be the best goalie that the Kings have played, as well as the best Ds. McDonagh, Girardi and Staal are as good a trio as there is in the league. Klein, Stralman and Moore (even though he is a jagoff) do an excellent job as well. I would venture to say that that both teams are going against the best depth that each other has seen in the last two months.

I get that the Kings do some things very well but so do the Rangers. Despite what a lot of people say, BOTH teams have earned the spot in which they are in.

havent really watched him......you cant be serious what region of the country has late night hockey, west coast. Gaborik can be detained and its pretty easy. He scored mostly in the first 2 rounds of this years postseason. Hank s game has been much better as the postseason has gone deeper.
The Rangers are going to be a tougher opponent for Gaborik and the Kings than Chicago
