6-1 Stars - Maybe Wandy should put Bernier back between the pipes.

Hamhuis is much better at putting the puck into his own net.
trigger man on maybe 4 or 5 chances on that powerplay.... flubbed every one of them.
bad luck on the first one, as it his a d-man's skate (who didn't even see it)

Lightning win in a shootout 4-3. Kucherov gets the lone shoot out goal

I'm starting to think Giordano might have been a better choice for Sochi.

/I know Hamhuis is going for his shutdown defensive prowess.

I agree with you.

last game, Giordano was playing against the toughest competition:
shot attempts while he was on the ice were: 20 - 8 Flames
shot attempts while he was not on the ice: 35 - 15 Coyotes*

*I may be off by a couple on this stat, going from memory of an earlier tweet. Confirmed the 'on-ice' stat though.
It was a startling difference.

5 minutes left, Nucks get a powerplay trailing by 1. ZERO confidence that they will tie it up.
they are 2 for their last 30.

haven't been better than CGY (28th in league) or NSH (24th)
worrisome. just can't fucking bury it.

Hate to say/think it...but gosh...did Vancouver's "window" really close? I'm just some humble East Coast biased fan though...so feel free to correct me there.

Sedins both hurt
Burrows snake-bit
Booth pure shit

and being cap-fucked this season doesn't allow us to add any pieces.
needed to rely on additions from Santorelli, Stanton, richardson (they've been fine, but not next level upgrades)

I said at the beginning of the year this this would be a lost season. could be better next year with some maturity from the younger players (Kassian is starting to roll more consistently), and some leeway to add a top 6. Sedins aren't 100 point players, but they should be 80+ each. Still magic when healthy. This year they are not.

defense and goaltending has been quite strong. just can't score.
