Should Tom Brady retire after this year for the Pats?

I did. Tom had a bad game three years ago.

...the last bad game he had.

Was the Chiefs game last year not a bad one then?

He did Brady was atrocious. He stunk up the joint

Well don't worry not like my QB did any better against them throwing 4 interceptions and being benched on a day that was supposed to be a huge historic day with him breaking 2 records. At least your QB bounced back from that and went on to win a Super Bowl. I think the only way that happens for ours if the back up QB actually does show he is the future for the Broncos and the defense plays lights out the rest of the way and Manning wins his 2nd ring from the bench.

My bad....forgot that one...

Those games are easy to forget. Believe me I am hoping in just a few weeks that this Chiefs game was just a minor blip on what could be a promising season. Osweiler going out and having a good game this week could definitely ease some of those bad memories.

We all remember when Brett Farve was getting a little long in the tooth in Green Bay and had Rodgers waiting in the wings. I don't know that, had Brett not retired (then unretired, etc) and left the Packers that Rodgers would have been able to remain with the Packers. I think he would have been snapped up by someone else and GB would not be sitting pretty with one of the best QB's in the league.

I can't help but wonder if the Pats are in that same boat.

Tom is getting up there in years (37, I think) and while he can still be productive, his best years are behind him.

I could see Tom hanging on if the QB waiting in the wings was no more than a career backup but from what I'm hearing, Mallet is a strong QB ready to go. No, he's not Tom Brady but people talk like he's better than most out there.

If the Pats wait much past this year, they could lose him.

He was drafted in 2011 so he's getting near the end of his rookie contract. If the Pats don't move on him following this season, I think someone else will.

Should Brady do what's best for the Pats and retire after this season? Should he keep playing until he drops like Farve?

There's a tipping point and I think the Pats and Brady are approaching it.
Brady and the Dark Lord will walk hand in hand off into the sunset together when the time comes and as long as he stays healthy and playing at this level, that won't come until after the 5th ring!

I'll be interested to see what kind of year Brady has this season. He definitely showed signs of decline last season (especially in the AFC Championship game). I think part of that could be due to the lack of talent at receiver, but I also think he wasn't nearly as accurate as he was in years past. If he has a similar year or worse, I think the Patriots would be wise to move on from him and resign Mallett, if he's truly as good as a lot of people seem to think he is.

Is this Ryan Mallett?? LOL. There's a real good reason he's a backup QB.

Never had a problem with her
Me neither. Some of her posts were comical to say the least. Yet, she didn't intend to make them comical.

Brady is not gonna retire on an INT ... He won't accept that... If he's not playing for the Pats next season he'll be somewhere else, lot's of teams will take the gamble and pay him the money....

I think way too much is made of this final play being a pick thing. I don't think he gives a rat's ass about that. It would different if it was a game loser.

Hey, How about those Seahawks? I need to find that thread since I love the classics like Shakespeare, Milton, Melville, and Midnight Angel.
