Watson's personal QB coach was on Shefter's podcast and he told Shefter that he expected Watson to be traded by Sunday.

Sunday was a couple of days ago, but to me it does say if you want Watson, you better get in line now not later.

this is the core of the issue . you cant burn snyder at the stake and then say its ok DW

that is why i say pursue him if he is cleared of any wrong doing but not before . 22 woman people and all can be lying but until thats resolved you cant say the culture is changing by trading for him until he is clear

I don't want to pay that price if even if he becomes a religious zealot.

their behavior policy . sorry he isnt out of the woods yet and again how does it look for the franchise if you are changing the culture and you bring in a guy like this with those accusations .

he reported to the texans anyway so we will see
Changing the way that things are done often does help in changing culture, Trading for this guy even if you include every accusation that there are gives you 10 or more wins and a likely conference title game. Nothing, let me repeat that, NOTHING says culture change like winning does.

He’s reported to camp, probably won’t do more that collect his pay for that and the team is now open to take calls regarding a trade. While Philly has the three 1’s, they are currently only 3.5M over the cap. His cap hit for this year is 16M. Still doable but it hurts them in other ways.

If you have a legit shot to drop a top 5 QB onto a team with a top 5 defense in a QB league you have to do it.

Deal!!! When Snyder can spin a football, win games on the field, and be the primary cause to forget a historically bad culture, he'll have no issues with me!

Absolutely agree!!

Perhaps there's a bit of pre separation anxiety going on. Winning is something that folks have to get used to after being attached to losing for so long!! :pound:

Winning games doesn’t
Supersede sexual harassment no matter how you can spin a football

So we import bad culture?
C'mon man, we would be importing a top 5 QB and that combined with this defense means winning a lot of games, perhaps championships. So sorry to learn that all that's seen with this QB is what might be, instead of what he actually does and has done on the field.

Get Watson here and they win at least 10 games, sexual harassments charges still remain, it doesn't go away. Two things can be true at the same time, ya know!

No to Watson no matter what .... can't because of the allegations of sexual abuse. Anyone that thinks you can ... I will have some of what you are smoking. If I am wrong I'll be first in line to eat my crow. Don't think he will be with the WTF. I am guessing this is the mystery guy that was going to be the reason Fitz never played a down.

Yes we would be…prior to allegations.

Yes it would…if he is still top 5 and can play…ever.

What might be is huge. The allegations alone may destroy his mind for the game. The allegations could very well be true, with 22 separate allegations. Even if the allegations aren’t completely true, Watson has issues.

What he has done on the field seems impressive enough But I am curious what has happened…

2016- preWatson- 9-7 with Osweiller and Savage…1-1 playoffs
2017- 4-12 with Watson going 3-4…no playoffs
2018- 11-5…1 and done
2019- 10-5 with Watson…1-1 in playoffs
2020- 4-12

TBH…not real impressive in the wins category.

Lastly, in the era of #metoo, innocence does not matter. Women are to be believed no matter what. It is wrong, but men have been destroyed or close to it for far less.

SportsTalk 790's Aaron Wilson reports there is "no trade imminent or developing" for Texans QB Deshaun Watson at this time.

The Eagles are rumored to have a deal on the table for Watson involving multiple picks despite his ongoing lawsuits for alleged sexual misconduct. The issue is that neither the Texans or league have stepped in and taken accountability amid said legal disputes, being as lenient as to allow Watson to comically participate in Houston's camp as a scout team safety and defensive end just to avoid the daily fines. Trading for the 25-year-old while he faces sexual assault accusations from 22 women ahead of February's deposition would obviously be a PR nightmare for the Eagles, not to mention outright embarrassing and a black mark against the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell. Watson still isn't expected to play a single snap in Houston (or any other team for that matter) until his legal issues are behind him.

Just reported on the radio also. They may be working on a deal based on whether the legal issues are resolved. That would have to happen before next years draft and while Philly still has three 1st round picks.
