Kekeleinen asked if it's bittersweet to trade Dubois after drafting him and developing him "Not bittersweet at all". More excited to get the guys he got.
Also stated they offered to move up at the draft to get Laine back then. Have inquired about Roslovic in past trade attempts. Have had their eye on him for a while. Believes that Roslovic can play center with some development.
Says Laine can have a more offensive role in Columbus and Jarmo has known him since he was 15.
Roslo COVID testing today. Expected 48 hours before he can join the team on ice. Laine needs to get his Visa worked out. Koivu back on Tuesday.
Jarmo not at all worried about extending him. Says Laine is excited to join, is close with Letestu who talked with him. Says they had a lot of discussion in the background to ensure it was a fit.
Jarmo was asked if there was anything to the notion that coach is too hard to play for and if Torts had any part in the trade. "No".

Just watched the interview. I think the kid was just homesick. Didn't hate Torts, still friends with some guys, doesn't hate the city. I think it was just getting slapped in the face by Jarmo in negotiations and wanting to go back home. Whether that was Montreal or back where his parents currently are.
I respect that he doesn't want to make waves and that goes against the whiny selfish prick narrative everyone wants to throw on him. I thank him for everything and wish him the best.
