I agree with this article. I watched Troy at Penn State and although I thought he improved every year (he was recruited as a WR) and by his senior was pretty good ... not great. I was shocked he got drafted. He has improved, the question is can he improve enough. He does have the athleticism.
Maybe, people have been writing him off for a couple of years. The article says he had a bad year. WRONG!! He had an injured year ... his first. Had he played the entire year 7.5 to 8.5 sacks was likely. Not as good as in the past but still decent.
He is no harm to the salary cap this year because there is lots of room under the cap. Clearly if he wants to stay he is going to have to take a pay cut in 2021, something he hinted that he was willing to do. At the same time if he has a good year maybe someone offers him a lot more money and he moves on.
There is nothing going on that does not make me think this is business as usual under Snyder. RR had some success before but not with an owner like Snyder. After the hiring for radio guys I am seriously doubting Julie Donaldson. Having no clue where they are going with the NEW team name does not make me think they have a clue here either. The uniform sucks and the temporary name sucks. It all sounds like typical Snyder crap.
