I figured it was coming, but it was still like a dagger in the ole heart. They said it was because they cared about the welfare of the athletes, but I believe the decision was based on the liability issue...

bunch of BS. and those pussy UM/OSU/PSU and maybe Iowa folks that were talking a strong game of maybe playing football in the fall even if the conference says no backed out on that statement. Left Nebraska being the only school in the Big Ten saying this:

22 kids on a football field at the same time who are in a controlled environment and get tested regularly isn't safe. But 30,000 students on campus and in classes with no controlled environment and no testing schedule is perfectly safe.

I hope the ACC, SEC, & Big XII all play and end up with a healthy group of players throughout to season and they rub it in the PAC and B1G faces. I hope there is are championship games played this Fall so they eff up Kevin Warren's spring sports fantasy.

so, i've kinda hit the stage where i'm just like, let's get back to normal with a mask mandate. at this point it doesn't seem like much is going to change without a vaccine. i can see how football can be riskier, i mean one person that tested negative but actually has it, sweating/huffing/puffing/spitting on a football field could then spread to the whole team and the other team. now if they have a wait to keep the team quarantined and no chance to catch it on campus, then the risk seems a lot lower.

this. i just don't see why not take the chance. seems like it will make more sense to go ahead and then cancel the season if there is a breakout. It's similar to my thought on school for my kids, send them, let them have fun, if an outbreak occurs they will be shutdown and home but at least they got to do that for some time and feel normal.

IMO, no need to worry about this. If the other three conferences start playing it will likely end after a few weeks. No way they get thru a 8+ game schedule. The potential liability of this thing will shut it down after players start getting the Rona.

I can't wait until the top 20 rankings comes out and no B1G or PAC teams are on it. There should be enough room for every SEC team to making the rankings this fall.
