Well, they're bringing this back, but as a drama series. I don't think they have a network right now, appears they're still shopping it to various streamers. Will Smith is a producer.

Probably going to deal with a lot of current headlines. They soft-pedaled race issues in the comedy series, didn't want to get too heavy, but I'm guessing this one won't hold back. A lot of the same creative team from the original series will also be involved, like Quincy Jones

I never got in to the original show. Saw it a few times, that's about it.

That trailer was a spoof-trailer made last year. Now Will Smith is looking to produce a drama series based on the concept.

That time in my life I wasn't watching anything but sports on TV. Only Melrose place show I saw was while at an INXS concert in a suite. No Seinfield..... nothing.

Now I am all up in that mother fucker. Can't get enough.

I would like to think that they wont take the lazy approach and reboot it to the point where they are trying to sell us all the same characters but with a different cast. I am glad Will Smith is a producer and isn't looking for someone that will just play his role and god forbid they try to find a guy to play uncle phil the man that passed away.

Hopefully it would be more of a spin off using a lot of the same characters while adding new ones. If they kicked off with an episode where after uncle phils death they were left a large inheritance and can keep the house and Will sent his son there to live. IDK I am just throwing stuff out.
