Our only hope is to postpone to the Spring, then hope as a country we get our shit together at least manage it better like all the other countries in the world are.
True about the data and testing and we know more. But, a lot of us haven't done any better at mitigating it now than we did in March. Hell, here in Texas we're so stubborn we may be in worse shape than we were then. I know my county is....and we ain't near as bad as the cities.More data and testing
In March we didn’t know much and at the time deaths were rising exponentially.
Think all we know really is those who think they know what will happen don't know.String the hope out as long as you can to try and get every single penny you can possibly squeeze out of the fans/boosters/season ticket holders/ad revenue, because you know you're not going to have an entire season and every single university is going to take a major major major hit in their income.
If it doesn't happen next month, it's not going to happen next MarchI’m to the point where I say just have it from the start of February to the end of April. Not sure how that would work with the NFL combine but at least the season is over before the draft, gets you 10 games plus 2 bye weeks. Then just delay the next season until October so players have 5 months of rest.
The best players may not play but it’s better than nothing.
Sure it could. March is 7 months away. Treatments, vaccines or natural spread and dwindling numbers could all very much allow for a spring season. There’s 0 chance of a fall season so IMO they should shoot for something that’s at least possible right now.If it doesn't happen next month, it's not going to happen next March
More responsible? What does that even mean? There isn't any stopping it until you've had it. Slowing it down just makes it last longer.I get the notion that spring would be better but the reality is spring is only better if the country starts being more responsible. And we all know thats not going to happen
Once infection rates go down it will become politically acceptable to open stuff up again. Im speaking to the public relations aspect ( which is really all college sports cares about )More responsible? What does that even mean? There isn't any stopping it until you've had it.
