I would take him for both. He’s a proven commodity.

being on screen aew gm and helping with creative off screen would be huge
The GM role has been done to death. I wouldn't want to see that type of role for many years. And if it were to ever come back, it needs to be in a Jack Tunney type capacity where it's only for very important decisions, not someone that's going to be on tv every week.
I also think he's overrated as a creative mind. His one big idea (nWo) was stolen from Japan.

no it wasn’t. He took some concepts from it (enhanced realism), yes.

Yes it was an invasion angle.

but it was its own creation.

TNT's complete announcement reads as follows:

TNT Programming Alert

* The Wednesday, August 19 episode will air on Saturday, August 22 at 6:00pm ET / 3:00pm PT
* The Wednesday, August 26 episode will air Thursday, August 27 at 8:00pm ET/PT

So you're just going to ignore this post now that he (Eddie Kingston, pronouns pal) signed with AEW?
Well as I said, two WWE wrestlers (possibly more, but I only saw two) tweeted out the hashtag, #SignEddieKingston.

So if they tweeted it out, that means he's signed to WWE. You know, since your implication is that the AEW wrestlers tweeting out that hashtag means he signed with AEW.

The Women's Tag Tournament was on tonight. Wasn't half bad.

I read the results for that. I could easily be missing something but it sounds like Brandi is turning heel again, I'm assuming whenever Cody does his eventual turn? From what I remember, when Allie joined the Nightmare Family, she was the one that was acting heelish, trying to breakup Dustin and QT by seducing QT. So are they both going to be heel or is it going to be more of a double turn?

I have no idea with Brandi. She oscillates back and forth all the time.

And there's too many potential heel turns being shown.

Hangman w/ FTR.

Omega (the cleaner)

FTR themslves

Cody

The Bucks were acting heelish pre-pandemic. Wouldn't shock me if those 2 plus Omega all turned heel at once (although FTR is just such a clear heel tag team...)

Some thoughts about the show. Thought that the beginning and end of the show were really good. They did a good job of planting more seeds of the FTR/Page alliance (along with Dark last night when you saw Tully talking to FTR before they made their entrance). The debate went pretty much exactly how I was figuring. The Dark Order vs Cody and Matt Cardona was fine but didn't leave much of an impression of me. Surprised that P&P took the loss but I guess that feud is continuing after they destroyed the van. Didn't really see much of a point to the Big Swole segment. Even though Matt Hardy's the babyface, I felt like he had that coming.
Also, maybe it's just me but did the announcers seem a little off of their game tonight?

Announcers were better than last week I thought, but it seemed like JR's mic was turned down at some points. That or he was mumbling

But yeah, it was another consistently good show from top to bottom. My favorite part was Best Friends promo in front of Sue's destroyed van. Best Friends are hilarious

One of my favorite lines:

Bischoff: I got to give the debate to Orange Cassidy. That thing on climate change got me

Jericho: Screw you Bicshoff. I have hated you for 22 years.

Bischoff: It was 24 and I know.

You can say negative stuff about his creative, but he also created the most anticipated match in wrestling history. But to be fair, if you listen to his podcast that wasn’t his role. He wasn’t Vince McMahon with being hands on with creative and every aspect of WCW.

I think the Scorpio Sky/Cody match could be a huge tell in the Cody heel tease that's been happening the past couple months.

This is his first title defense against a babyface who's also a legitimate threat to the title. Against Sonny Kiss he showed heel tendencies but they weren't a legitimate threat. Against Hager he showed heel tendencies but Hager is a heel too. If the Cody turn is soon I expect dramatic signs of it in this match.

I kinda wonder if it’s a red herring.

idk if you can have Omega and Cody turn heel at the same time. Or even a similar timeline.

I kinda think Cody/cardona are going to be The team that feuds with the new horsemen.

it’s almost too obvious that Cody would turn heel.

Its possible but I just think Cody works better as a heel and his behavior has just been too blatantly heelish to be a red herring. Hes literally cheating with the help of outside interference to win. This week should be a good sign one way or the other though. If he's a heel I expect it to be even more obvious vs someone like Sky.

I get it. Although the line between face and heel is more blurred than ever.

would be weird to see Dustys kid be a horseman with arn and Tully (assuming spears is there too).

Uno and Silver are great on there. Laughed at the ending of the one they just did with the Chili's commercial.

I enjoyed the MJF segment tonight a lot more than the previous one and thought it was probably the best thing on the show.
Figured that Cassidy would beat Jericho (Jericho talking to Chioda in the back solidified that) but the end felt rushed and lackluster to me.
The tag team segment was probably the best way to do the FTR turn and further pushes along the slow burn for the new Four Horsemen-esque stable.
Enjoyed the Jurassic Express-Omega/Hangman match. I'm guessing that Kenny going into Cleaner mode was just a one time thing a few weeks back?
The Bucks and Dark Order match was solid. Figured that someone would've come out and chased away the miscellaneous Dark Order members during the match though.
Even though he didn't really act too heelish in the match, Cody's intro definitely was. Even though Sky looked good, I'm guessing he'll probably go back to Dark now.
The Shida match wasn't really needed. They should've just given the main event a couple of extra minutes instead and put this on Dark.
I was surprised that they didn't really mention a whole lot about not being on next Wednesday until around when the main event was starting. I was figuring that they would've mentioned it at least once a segment so people would be more apt to remember.

It didn't help things that they almost ran out of time (like within seconds) and that Jericho botched the finish. At first he didn't fall and then he fell the wrong way. He might need to lay off some of the bubbly, lol (seriously though, he's starting to get alcohol bloat)
