Oregon is outrecruiting the California schools...has more to do with the concentration of talent in the Southeastern US.

There is a slim chance, if Oregon collects the elite talent in a twenty year period, they may gather it all together.

Oregon is recruiting at a high level. I'm betting against them.

It will continue so long as Cristobal is there. No school can know the future past their current coach, as Nebraska has illustrated.

Who knows 10 years from now but it’s obvious in the next 4 years the Ducks are the only remote chance the PAC has.
In the next 4 years it's possible because they had the number 7th class in recruiting last year and the one stat in cfb that is undefeated is that you have to crack the top 10 at least once in the recruiting rankings within 4 years of winning the championship.

That being said the recruiting classes for the last 4 years (per Rivals):
2019 - 7
2018 - 13
2017 - 18
2016 - 25

This would indicate to me that most of your talent is young and the next two years on the recruiting trail are going to be critical. Oregon will get the skilled positions but they've got to build a D-Line and be able to control the trenches. So for them to have a shot then recruiting needs to stay high rated, they are going to have to get that special guy at the QB position and they are going to have to be strong on both sides of the trenches. You can get high rankings with skill position players but you have to recruit needs as well and I'm not sold that Oregon is doing that.

It's doable within 4 years but I wouldn't put money on it.

I think the PAC 12 has to worry about just making a CFP first

If Coronavirus wipes out the entire SEC, Clemson, the B1G, half the PAC 12 and UCF.....

then Oregon might have a shot.

Nah, they'd still lose to Oklahoma.

They're closer than most people realize/want to admit.

Of the FBS teams w/o a National Championship, Oregon's probably the closest to winning their first.

Wouldn't surprise me to see them win at least one in the next decade or so.

Who did it better ..

It's hard to beat the waterfront view of Husky Stadium, but it looks like they are short on nearby parking spaces. Do they have shuttles to take people back-and-forth from more distant parking areas?

And what is with the winding drive to the Ducks' field? Is there parking beneath the stadium?

One of the main lessons Cristobal learned while coaching under Nick Saban was that you've got to have some hosses on both sides of the line. That's one of the things he's been pursuing since he took over at the O. If he can get enough complimentary skill people to go along with the beef, then it is possible he could win a championship within the next five to six years.

He will still have to contend with the likes of Alabama, Clemson & Ohio St. in the playoffs, but I think his chances are as good as Oklahoma's.

Last year finished 5th in final poll with a lower recruiting rankings than this:

The 247 rankings
2018 - 13
2019 - 7
2020 - 12
2021 - 4 (Current)

Ducks will be in the mix the next 4-5 years.

Oklahoma lost to Oregon last time they played...

...Sooners are skeered of the Ducks.

There is no "winding drive" to the Ducks field.

That is up to the individual. I don’t like anything about Husky Stadium. I’ve never gone in Autzen but am not a fan of Eugene. And of course I love Martin Stadium, even though I despise the name. I’m sure Ducks will say they Autzen and obviously some guy from Alaska who hasn’t gone to a game since the renovation likes Husky Stadium.
