How do I even make a schedule this year? Big 10 and ACC start Sept 7, Pac-12 and SEC Sept 26th. Is it even worth it this year? This sucks.

Almost feels like we are going to have to cut out the start of Big10/ACC schedule and cut out early of the Pac 12/SEC schedule and have a 8 game season between Sept 26 and Nov 21st with Week 9 being title week?

(If a season even happens)

Any suggestions here? I personally hate having double week where you can start the same player twice vs one team.

Big 12 I am guessing will start Sept 7th as well. It looks like the maintime majority of conference will be playing at the same time is Sept 26- Nov 21?

I think the fairest way to do it would be a limited schedule starting late September when everyone is playing. 8 weeks is still a nice little run (if we get it) and I don't know how you can have a fair fight when several of the conferences aren't playing.

So far that is the only way that makes sense to me. I think it is going to be an unfair year anyway you look at it, but I think the best option is to have the season when all the conferences are playing or at least the majority. It looks to me like Sept 26-Nov 21 (8 weeks) 9 week championship might be the best way to go. Also researching other ideas jsut to see if there is anything else.

Means for example.... your guys playing in big 10 etc won't have fantasy value the first 3 weeks your guys in the Pac-12 etc wouldn't have fantasy value at the end of the year because the season would be over fantasy wise. But we knew it was going to be something funky like that.

Thanks for the feedback @BSUSeahawk

I think it is probably going to have to be with the way you guys talked about above. Sept 7-Nov 21. We knew it was going to be a wacky year. Something is better than nothing. Free league so just do what we can and hopefully nobody whines. If we can’t come up with anything better this works better than nothing. I don’t like the two players in one lineup on the same week either.

We could probably use the week 3 (week before sept 26) that you could have option to use those matchups for our week 1 but you can only use a player once between those two matchups.

Thanks Tony.

Seeing if there is anything creative and worthwhile out there in terms of alternative ideas but the sept 26-Nov 21 option is looking easiest right now.

Give it a bit before we decide for sure. Want to see what others think or if there are any clever ideas. Personally, don’t care if I win 0 or 9 games. I just want to come up with something to make our season happen this year and then move on to next year.

Maybe shorten it and just go with whoever finishes at the top of the standings is the winner?

I know crazy talk having no championship game, just a thought though.

Are you referring to no head to head and overall points wins it all?

I wasn’t but that would be interesting. Haha.

Still have head to head but just the top W-L record wins it (total points or h2h determine TB) makes for a easier shortened season or maybe I’m delusional. Maximize the Shortened amount of weeks we have without having to worry about the logistics of a “bowl season”.

That would work better if there were enough weeks to play everyone once though. Which isn’t going to be case.

I actually like the total points no head to head idea. It’s going to be a cluster no matter what’s decided so going with a one off new thing in a hopefully one off season wouldn’t be the worst thing

I think Sept 26th- Nov 21st is going to work the best. That is when all conferences appear to be playing at the same time. You don't get to use your big 10 and ACC players at the start of the year while their first games are going on, but you get nearly the same amount of games out of all conferences in that time span. Hopefully your Big 10 and ACC players don't get hurt before you can use them starting Sept 26th ;), but no other way to do it.. Same goes for NFL fantasy with preseason games. The Big 10 may also slide week 1 down when the time comes so you're safer to use Sept 26-Nov 21, IMO. It sounded like to me that the Big 10 may bail out of Sept 5th games and they set teams byes up as make up games for if week 1 (sept 5th games) do slide out. I probably have one of the heaviest big 10 teams in the league and I know this year is wacked so I was expecting whatever. But at the end of the day the Sept 26-Nov 21 seems to cover all conferences playing so it makes the most sense.

Does this look right? (using weekend dates)

BIG 10
Sept 7- Nov 21

Pac 12
Sept 26-Dec 5

ACC
Sept 12-Dec 5

SEC
Sept 26-Dec 5

**EVERYONE HAS A BYE FOR SEPT 28th incase of any makeup games

Big 12 TBD

Looks like we are going to have to go with an 8 game regular season schedule (Starting Sept 26th) with week 9 being the championship game matchups (Nov 21st)

and then probably have to adjust on the fly if things get cancelled.

Thanks for the feedback to those who have chimed in. I will post a 8 game schedule today and if we have to adjust from there we will.

If it gets too fucked up, overall points might be the way to go.

hard to to do that when you won’t have enough games to play everyone.

that’s why I think it’s either total points or we do the 8+Title game model.

8 plus title game. Total points ... blech. Wouldn’t that be just as complicated. I can start big 10 players week 1.2,3 and get points and others may not have enough from conferences to field much of a team without making a bunch of waiver points.

Total points after 16 years of head to head just seems so unappealing to me.

8 week head to head schedule (Sept 26-Nov 21) Week 9 Championship.

If something changes before then, we can adjust.
