Probably a little late, but after AJ Styles just won it for the 2010s it's a fun idea to bounce around.

A few candidates I thought about, mostly looking at guys early 30s or younger (Styles ended the decade at 43).

Drew McIntyre- starting off strong, and would be around Styles age (45) in 2030. Maybe more of a long shot than we'd think.

Adam Cole - the small guy. 31. Could get a shot if he takes the call up to the big roster.

Seth Rollins- a little older than you'd like (34). But an absolute workhorse. Has played a great face and heel. Guy just churns out good matches.

Bray Wyatt- enough creativity and personalities that he could really go on a good run here. 33.

Keith Lee- 35. coming from behind on this list. But he's got the size and charisma to make it happen.

For AEW:

Adam Page- Said he just turned 29 on Dynamite. Definitely has the momentum and the talent to make this work. Curious to see how he works with a heel turn.

MJF- such a good heel. Tremendous on the mic. The sky is the limit for him as a top heel. 24.

Jungle Boy- he'll need a new gimmick. But he's young and the talent is ridiculous. 23.

(Jungle Boy and MJF could legit have 2 bites at the apple)

Kenny Omega- older, 36, but lets be real, one of the very best in the biz.

I'm sure there will be LOTS of opinions on this. This is not a comprehensive list. Just a few guys I thought of who can fit in that general range.

For AEW, one you left out is Darby. I still think Darby Allin is going to be their version of Jeff Hardy.
Also, Sammy Guevara. He's come a long way in just a year under the wing of Chris Jericho and I think he can become even better.
I'd also mention Ricky Starks as a guy to keep an eye on.

I'm going to go with Rey Fenix...

-Only 29 years old
-Jawdroppingly talented in the ring
-Will most likely get a big singles push in AEW to showcase talent

He is fantastic.

Great call.

His biggest challenges will be

1) promos (i've never heard him cut one); and
2) not being the Tag team of the decade

These are valid concerns but strictly as an in ring performer hes the guy working on national TV who I think has the best chance to raise the bar for match quality this decade. I think Lucha Bros will be a tag team for a yr or two longer and then he'll be a singles main event caliber star.

Interesting Styles won it for the 2010 decade? I know he's been in WWE for a bit now, but I still feel like he's been under utilized while in the WWE. I know he's been champion a lot and for long period of times, but I still feel like they haven't really used him, I cant put my finger on why. I guess maybe it's because I haven't really found a stand out moment for Styles, like a CM Punk pipe bomb moment.

McIntyre clearly has the early push here to become the next big star for WWE.

Bray Wyatt. Guy has a brilliant creative mind. Has created two great characters and has put in the work to get a great starting point on some solid pushes, and each time the WWE has just destroyed him. I am surprised he hasn't jumped to AEW because the WWE has poorly handled all the great work he has done.

I don’t think his physique is bad at all. Jeff Hardy hasn't ever really had a great physique and he's done okay for himself. For Darby, I worry more about a serious injury more than anything.

i can't take Adam Cole seriously with those chicken wing arms

I think AEW's handling of Omega so far has been pretty poor, tbh.

long term planning.

they’re building a brand. They need to Develop the other guys as top stars too.

this isn’t Jeff Jarrett.

we’re gonna get the cleaner year 2.

Those are the biggest mainstream stars in the company so the decision was made to feature them as main eventers the first year, keep Omega in the tag division, and keep the midcard/upper midcard free for younger and lesser known talent.

I see the logic of how he's been booked but the execution needs to be there in year 2 for this to work

Why? Omega has proven he isn’t a main event talent in domestically, so how it is poor booking?
