Correction: White and black CEO's - who may or may not be liberal (you keep doing that, but you are probably wrong about it) - determined they were going to lose money by supporting the Redskins then they deemed acceptable, and applied pressure on the majority owner to change the name.

I believe the helmet with the "R" was only used for three years. Lombardi brought it they created it for him to be similar to the Packers logo. The profile on the current helmet has been used since 1972.

Warriors would be a great name too, but you couldn't have any NA emblems or symbols. Perhaps the team could have modern warrior symbols - modern soldiers of one kind or another.

Another thing:

Walter "Blackie" Wetzel, who created the original logo, was a member of the Blackfoot Tribe from MONTANA. While it's true that there are some NA that are ok with "Redskins" being the team name as you said in the above quote (namely the Blackfeet, who take pride that one of their own is the creator of the logo, and the model for the helmet), there are quite a few other NA's that view "Redskins" as a slur.

So while it's true that the logo was designed and created by a NA, and approved by SOME NA, almost 50 years ago, it is also a nickname that has been offensive to some NA all along, an increasing amount of NA that was previously reported, and a change in name has the approval of the son of the original logo's creator.

LIke everything else in life, things are rarely "black or white."

Everybody needs to stop with the PC BS and get over it. Black people in the US today face no obstacles greater than anybody else in the US, at least based on skin color. Indians face no issues based on being Indians. All the constant whining and bitching does is create hostility against “your people.” Look into a mirror and be the change.

Stop aborting your children, stop having children outside of marriage, stop committing crimes, get an education or learn a trade, and stop counting on others to lift you up.
