Kickers costing games, IMO, doesn't have to mean the last play of the game.

We lost a few games with Parkey that should've been wins if he didn't suck. The Detroit game comes to mind, I believe...where he hit the upright 4 times. That's 12 points and a win, likely.

I guess I'm lost. I'm not seeing where noon said anything about QB's??:noidea:

All I see, is that he said kickers are important, and that they could be the difference in up to 4 games a year.

Might be a bit high, but by no means a shit your pants comment? What am I missing?

Implying a kicker has a direct impact on 4 games a season, ie: a replacement kicker of varying talent at the NFL level would be a swing of 4 games would is a pretty ridiculous stance.

I mean, unless he means a kicker vs. having NO kicker...lol. I presume we're working in reality here and talking replacement cost. If he does mean "Yeah, without a kicker we'd lose at least 4 more games"...Well no sh*t. Because the field goal would be completely removed from our equation. I guess I never really read it this way...but it is coming from "Mahomes would put out like Trubisky on the Bears" noon the posting meme...so maybe...

We won that game man.

That right there is a microcosm of why Parkey sucked so bad. Even when we won, it felt like a devastating loss was looming because of that idiot and his sh*tty limp-dick kicking overshadowing it. We knew he was going to f*ck us when the going got tough. Sigh...

Oh ya, that's right.

This board takes itself a little too seriously, I think. Noon is a harmless homer4life.

We beat the shit out of Detroit in that game you're talking about.

The point isn't that kicking doesn't contribute to wins. It's that kickers only play a handful of snaps and the importance of those snaps is entirely dictated by the core players on the roster.

Parkey missed a field goal to beat Miami. But... it was also 52 yards after a mismanaged possession. Mack got hurt and we also let Brock f'n Osweiler throw all over us. We gave up 3 TD's over 75 yards, I believe. We didn't lose that game because of Parkey. We were twice the team Miami was and we had a barrage of mental errors compounded by a stroke of bad luck with Mack being hurt.

I was already corrected on the Detroit game.

He almost cost em' a loss against a lowly Cards team too in week 3. Missed a 46 and a 20 yarder. We eked out a 2 point win if I remember right?

Of course, if we are a dominant team, kicking won't matter as much, but all Noon really said was kicking was important?:noidea: How in the world does that lead to two pages of bashing him? LOL

Like I said, this covid shit needs to get over with. We could all use something to discuss other than Noon talking out his butt.

Parkey missed on kick from 46 vs Arizona and made 3 other kicks. Not a Parkey fan. Just sayin.

And.. okay...

OH MY GOD... lol. I'm not actually mad but this thread is just odd and funny to me.

I don't think I've ever seen a poster say something and then pretend he didn't say it like Noon has. Somehow, with this voodoo magic. He has ALSO convinced you that he never said that following:

"Kickers will win you or cost you about 4 games a year on average."

Like, what planet am I on where my point of contention was with him calling kickers important? How much more clear could I be? lol

Poster 1: "Kickers cost or win you 4 games per year"

Poster 2:"Uh. No, they don't."

Poster 1: "WHAT!? I said kickers are important! You're making that up!"

Poster 2: "No, I am not. You literally said that. It's right there."

Poster 1: "None of this has to do with anything I have posted."

Poster 2: "Okaaayyyy....? But... you clearly said kickers account for 4 games per year. I'm not disputing kickers have importance."

Poster 3: "What the hell poster 2!? All he said was kickers are important. How could you dispute that?"

Poster 2: "I... yeah... I'm done. This is retarded."

It's just an odd series of interactions. I don't really know what to say. lol

Kickers are important like situational relievers (left handed specialist, etc.) or a good bat off the bench in baseball. They can come through in big spots. However, they're not the reason you have success or not. Their impact is entirely dependent on the rest of the team's success/failure.

Bro, you are making way too big of a deal, over a dumb comment. He said they will win or lose 4 games a year, and you've been posting fucking dissertations ever since. Who fucking cares?

Nope.

I would re-phrase that to BIG game on the line tho.

I think he can hit a week 2 game-winner. Playoffs? Still suspect.

You get dumber in every post. Mahommes would not be a star here, deal with it. He landed in the perfect spot.

I never denied saying kicker are important and can cost you or win you multiple games per year. You brought up QBs for some reason, I did not.

If Patrick Mahomes was our quarterback for the past 2 years and I could go back in time, I would bet big on the Bears to win it all both years. The f*cking guy is way better than Mitch. So much so that it can’t be understated. He’s better than almost all the quarterbacks we’ve witnessed in our lives already and may be considered the best of them all within the next ten years.

If a Bear QB was doing what Mahomes was doing you would be talking about the HOF right now. And if somebody tried to downplay him with some dumbass “no it’s everybody else that makes him great” on the heels of a 5000 yard 50 TD Super Bowl winning season you would scoff at them.

Both teams have kickers. We lost some on last second kicks and we won some on last second kick

He is a good QB on a great team with a great coach. He does not make my top 50 QB list.

Wait... are you drunk? Whoever claimed that you DID NOT SAY that kickers are important?

What does this post even mean? Who is saying you DID NOT say these things? Dude, are you okay?

I don't think I've ever been so mind blown by a post. It's actually intriguing how nonsensical this is.

You brought up QBs for some reason, I did not

For SOME reason? How drunk are you?

I explained exactly why. You said kickers account for 4 games. Which is what QB's account for according to WAR. Thus, it's an absurd claim to make that kickers account for four games. This isn't hard.

Do you function in society okay?
