10 year deal, probably keeps his salary low in tge beginning. When we see the details, I'm thinking the final 3 or 4 years will be so high, he probably never sees those paychecks.
It comes down to when are the Chiefs past the guaranteed portion, and is Mahomes worth the 50M + he's going to be playing for. I haven't seen the contract, but I will say right now the Chiefs have outs availability long before the 10 years is up.

I don't care about the exacts of what Mahomes is going to make over the first 5 years. The fact is that the Cowboys are now going to have to offer more than they were to get a deal done with Dak. The price just went up for young starting QBs. Cowboys have played the contract situation with Dak terribly from the start. They should have tried to be the first to get a deal done instead of Goff and Wentz getting deals and now Mahomes.
