For what it is worth, I did take it as an exercise and not a visit with reality.

I guess I'm not as concerned as others about NEs WR core? I say that as long as they can get a healthy Sanu back. TBs issues last year and Sanu's ankle I believe are what contributed to a down year for Sanu. I think he's still serviceable and at least a solid #3. Worst case imagine having Sanu as your #4 WR?

But let's see who wants what? Keeping in mind the cap and a heavy WR draft class who would you like to see NE pick up off of the available FAs? I think these guys are all still available?

My top three in this order and why:
Devin Funchess, I think you can get him on a relatively low contract. He reminds me of a TE playing WR. Always seems to come up with the big catches and I just like this guy.
Robby Anderson is that sneaky fast guy most casual fans don't even recognize his name. Love him but he's going to cost way too much. Same goes for Sanders.
Chris Hogan, is there any of that 7/11 magic left? He knows the system assuming it doesn't change drastically? Good team guy and will be cheap to sign.

The truth is that I always want to stay away from the expensive guys because WRs are about as frail as little girls playing in the NFL. Ankles and knees along with shoulders.

I also like Funchess and wanted to see BB get him three years ago but he went for the $$$. I really like Gabriel. Solid, fast route runner and he's got good hands. I'd also like to see Chris Hogan back. He'd be a solid addition and be helpful to Stidham if he's the starter.

My second three would be Allison, Robinson and Treadwell.

Take another TE OFF the board. The Steelers just signed Ebron

Hard to believe but Hoyer’s actually spent more time on other rosters than on the Pats’.

I like Fromm. I’d be very cool with him at 100 and Baun at 23 and Trautman at 98 as they have it. I would hope and pray if Jordan Elliott fell that close to 87 they’d trade ahead of the Lions for him, though.
