I understand that quick turnarounds are possible. Im not saying Super Bowls but a playoff appearance would do wonders for this franchise.

considering our history, a playoff birth speaks volumes to this franchise. The RG3 playoff year was a very exciting time for this franchise. If we are picking top 10 once every 4 years it wouldn't bother me. The way the NFL is setup right now is the league discourages dynasties and wants new teams in the Super bowl every year.

Yes that data means a potential Super Bowl contender every year. What's wrong with a playoff appearance once every 3 or 4 years?

I would love to back to a Gibbs like era or even something like the George Allen era where you felt you had a chance every year. I don't want to be Debbie Downer but I don't see that happening as long as Snyder is the owner. At my age I would take one great season and be happy. I keep thinking even a blind squirrel has to find a nut once in a while. :pound:

It's called doing them differently than we have done them before. We have ushered in the RR way of doing things unlike predecessors before him and Dan Snyder seemed to invoke that change or he wouldn't have hired Rivera knowing full well his new head coach has all football related powers. Let's give this an ample chance to succeed like we previously did with Gruden/Allen who failed. The culture change will naturally take place as Rivera's way of doing things are implemented over a period of time. Let the young guys grow together and by year 2 of the Riverboat era, we could see huge strides. Patience is a virtue.

In my neck of the woods we say 'Even a blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile' but it means the same thing.

At least we can continue to see Gibbs win on the race track and he does it with the same formula that he won with on the football field which is to surround himself with good people who know what they are doing.
