Did the Links at Worthington in Worthington, MA today. Very nice course and friendly staff. Just beautiful.

They had league night tonight so I'll be stoked to hear what the guys think of them.

Balls touching other balls is not the issue though.

Well with two of them we played and changed out the pins along the way. In both cases the course was empty and it made it a 5hr round with 5mins x 18 added. The other day we just jumped around hitting greens nobody was playing. Trying to hit a drive, then an approach, then 5 minutes to change out the flag, then chipping and putting makes it kind of a drag. I'd rather go do the work and then come back to just play.

Nothing but rave reviews from everyone I come across. We all just figured that we had to compromise because of covid. Not true!

Hi everyone, I haven't posted much lately 'cause I've been pouring my soul, my time and a good chunk of change into promoting a ball return design that will get us back to playing without compromise. Kudos to the folks who developed lift systems and who modified their cups in all sorts of ways to get us back playing this spring. That's all much appreciated but I think that I speak for the great majority of golfers when I describe foam filled holes as an approximation of the game. The end result of any well played hole is the ball resting at the bottom of the cup.

What has been available to date has been a device that uses a rigid rod to connect the ball plate with the lifter. These rods have already turned away shots that bounced off of them. Our Patent Pending design durably tethers the lift disc to the ball plate with a very fine, nearly invisible, nylon-coated steel wire that remains loose and thus doesn't interfere in the slightest with the ball dropping in. The lift disk smoothly lifts your ball from the hole from any direction around the flag.

We're just getting going and trying to balance advertising with production. We've set up an LLC and are in the process of launching our website so it'll be just a tad before we'll be fully up and running but if your club is considering the rigid rod lift system, do yourselves a favor and hold off a bit. Just check out how quickly and simply our touchless return drops the ball at your feet.

We re-posted pics and vids from Erik Tiele's facebook page and it's linked below. Erik's the head professional at the Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown, MA and a wonderful fellow who is truly committed to making his course the best. It is by far the finest conditioned public access course that I've ever played. If you're ever in Western MA, don't miss an opportunity to meet Erik and play this fantastic course.

So give me a shout if you think your club may wish to look into purchasing a set for your club. Our pricing is very competitive.

played on Sunday with a couple of my dad's friends. The biggest controversy was that one of the guys kept hitting the noodle in the cup but just grazing it. No one wanted to make the call on whether they thought it was in or not because they could have very easily lipped out on those putts. Really hard to tell when the noodle is cut right to the top of the cup.

I think what they need to do is have the noodle cut to an inch below the top of the cup.

by the end of it, they were pulling the flags.

Even recessed foam rejects some putts.

The ball belongs at the bottom of the cup.

I still don't see the issue with just reaching into the cup to get your ball. The foam doesn't really make sense to me.

I guess it's just a surface area contact thing. It's certainly possible to reach in and touch nothing but your ball but will everyone do that?

I agree with you though.

We can all agree that raised cups and foam suck ass.

I honestly don't think it will last much longer.

Playgrounds are opening today in Ohio. If hundreds of little shits can pick their nose before touching monkey bars (still a thing?) then you can graze your hand on the inside of a golf cup.

The feedback I got from our track...they liked it, but didn't seemed to be moved to purchase.

Base on some of the recent moves of now allowing two players per cart again (you need special circumstances such as 65+ y/o to get your own cart) and removing the foam inserts last week...they're basically going back to normal operating procedures out on the course. Inside the club is mostly where the CV-19 stuff is still in effect.

Anyway...I think it's a good device...seems simple enough cost shouldn't be a deal breaker.

That’s a great idea. I’ve been playing on a course that uses a metal lift a few inches above the hole and I don’t like using it club on metal because it could scratch up my nice putter.

All the precautions that golf courses have made have pretty much been proven pointless.
