OK well you seem more relaxed now. Why are you so sure it's all phony 'virtue signaling'? I mean, yes, some of it is surely Goodell doing his job of keeping his league running smoothly, but isn't it interesting how he's doing this now, vs 4 years ago?

Maybe people are starting to think about this issue differently. I think the Floyd killing is a turning point, we might finally get somewhere on this.

But aren't the goals worthy? I really think there will be cover for cities to take on their police unions now...the whole country is truly looking at this. Maybe it's a real cause and maybe the NFL can genuinely want to get on the right side of it?

There are innumerable conversations that need to be had across our nation. Honest ones. Important ones.

If Roger is important and honest in some of those, we will win as Americans.

His position is one of few in his financial circle of influence that can reach a massive, diverse audience. You could almost say it's unique. He represents football, yet only works for a few super rich motherfuckers with everything to lose.

But that's a long ways from taking part in a social media fad. Which is where I'm willing to say this is at.

I called it years ago.

On this very site I said that NFL treated Kaepernick unfairly. I was boo'd and rainbro'd but I didn't care, I knew that Kaep was just bringing awareness to a large audience that cops killing unarmed Americans is unjust when it's because of the color of their skin.

The non-believers better start to recognize or serious repercussions will be felt in all areas of employment. You can't shush away the subject any longer Roger Goodell

I'll pass on believing all these multi-billion dollar institutions are passionate about stopping racism rather than tripping over themselves to virtue signal in order to make sure nobody calls them out for not condemning racism.

How about you donate your money before major events like this happen and not announce it for everyone to know about it.

Kinda funny that most of these same companies that care so much about racism don't mind it when China does it and go out of there way not to offend China or when it comes to LGBTQ rights they make sure the Middle East isn't offended.

And no I'm not going on a xenophobic rant but to call out the double standard because it's clear that companies only care about the bottom line and they'll pander to the side or cause that will make them the most money and they'll wiggle around that same cause somewhere else if it impacts their ability to make money somewhere else.

NBA is a fine example. They have no problems calling out racism here in the US which is great and I'm not critical of but what I am critical of is when it came to China and the Hong Kong protests it's how much China is our friend and how great China is, and basically please don't be mad at us China and block us from making money off of you.
