4 Star OG Dylan Fairchild out of Georgia commits to UGA.

West Forsyth high school. That was my high school's second biggest rival.

USC gets a commitment from 4* QB Miller Moss
had offers from UCLA, Alabama, LSU
They already had commitment from 5* QB Jake Garcia
read an artcle that Miami was gonna go hard after Garcia if Miller picked USC

Wow that kinda odd but at the same time, schools need to bring 2 QBs in classes these days, knowing that half of them will portal somewhere else after a season or two. I like Garcia a lot.

I like Garcia a lot too I hope he stays. I've watched him play twice. In my mind if you're a QB you go to USC especially over Miami. Since Carson Palmer went #1 in the draft in 2003 every USC QB who started more than three games has been drafted . That's three in the first round and five others and Matt Cassel who never even started a game. Thats eight QBs drafted since 2003 and Miami has had two drafted in that time . A 6th rounder in 2017 and a 7th rounder in 2003. Slovis is already being projected a first round pick after 2021 season if he decides to declare early. Thats quite a QB tradition.
I'm not really that familiar with the current Miami staff but Tate Martell is still there making more noise than plays and they got D'Erik King via transfer from Houston in hopes he can elevate the position after Jarren Williams beat out Martell but didn't play well this past season.

Miami does have a really good young OC who just arrived, Lashlee. But I still don't trust Diaz as a coach.

Its sounds like their QB situation is a total mess. If I had a kid with that kind of talent I wouldn't advise him to jump into that until the show the are more stable.

Lashlee knows how to use a QB like King.

Gonna need more than just the QB though. Despite playing a feather-soft schedule last year, their offense was a joke. They were completely shut down against FUI for 57 minutes, scoring two TDs in the final 3 minutes. They were shutout by La Tech. Only put up 21 against a horribly bad Ga Tech defense, and only 17 against a pretty bad Duke defense.

Their leading rusher is gone, as are 2 of their top 3 WRs. They also lost 5* RB Lingard and 4* WR Hightower to transfer. King is a great QB, but it's not like Miami didn't have three 4* QBs last year and none of them could do anything. I'm not sure they're going to be much better this year honestly.

Yeah I get that, I think Lashlee is a good up and coming OC, but I don't trust Diaz as a HC.. they will end up imploding as usual. But I think Lashlee does enough to get a high profile OC gig or even a HC gig.

wait till the fall when we see decommit musical chairs going around. I think Milroe at Texas could be one.. Miami and Bama are still going after him hard.
Especially with QBs. Only one can play... And we'll know which QBs will be going to the draft early (in addition to the obvious ones)

@romeo212000 What's going on.. I just read this about this commitment;

I have talked to some folks, as has Collin. This is a strange deal. I don’t think OU really thought he was gonna announce today, as he was given the answer that he “could” have a spot if the numbers work out later on.

I can tell you that those in Norman were stunned to see the tweet. Don’t get it wrong, Coe is an elite JUCO DL but do you take three in two years is the question some are wondering?

Can OU make numbers work later cause as I said, the Sooners are in a great spot with elite talents in Marcus Burris and Kelvin Gilliam. Those two are takes all day, ever day.

Right now, Coe is on board. I don’t know that the Sooners can say otherwise with him hailing from one of the top JUCO programs in the nation and being close friends with current Sooner Perrion Winfrey.

Crazy situation. It’s viewed as a great get by those around the nation, but one that some were wanting to be viewed as a great get later on during the season, potentially.

My take: As a source told me yesterday and few weeks ago, you take everyone that you think can help you and the program. Then you deal with the numbers later on. I think that is how this is viewed. We will see and I will update you all of something more comes up.

So, they are happy but not?

Clemson started running away with this one awhile ago. Not really shocking. Good get for them though
I think playing time was the big deal. Not very deep at his slot position

I don’t think the coaches were prepared to take his commitment today. They are as blindsided as you and I are. They were only planning to take two. Coe was the plan b if Burris or Gilliam don’t come. I have no idea how they’re going to handle this, whether they’re going to try to take 4 and let the numbers work themselves out later or what. What I do know, is I really hope this doesn’t fuck things up with those two.
