They'd have to be like 80

Brown retired like 15 years before I was born and I'm almost 40

Yep the fans that remember Feller playing can also remember when in the 50's the city of Cleveland had more Fortune 500 companies than NY or LA. The Browns were a great franchise in that era too.

Toledo was supposed to be some huge hub for business also. With the canal and all that. But that's going back a few years prior to all that. Shame

This is a completely hypothetical scenario but something like this could happen......what if the Lakers were supposed to play Cleveland, who they cannot play and their next game was against Dallas. But Dallas had 2 teams who were there as their next 2 games, and maybe another team had a non team (team not in Orlando)on their schedule, but the Lakers as their next game.

Not sure I explained that well enough, but suppose these were their schedules

Lakers - Cleveland, Dallas, Miami
Dallas - Houston, SA, Lakers
LAC - Memphis, Lakers, whoever

How's that gonna work?

Surprised the NBA going with the December 1st start.

Basically we get a year of basketball starting from late July

With all the back to backs, Kawhi is only going to play like 30 games.

There's some push back from the NBPA on this (at least Michelle Roberts said something) and I tend to agree. It's too quick a turnaround from the end of the season to when training camp starts if they start on Dec 1st, especially if you're the final four teams. Christmas would be better. They can't push it back too much further because the end of the season (if they go a full 82 games) will run the risk of running up against the Olympics next Summer where many players (both US and international) plan to compete.

Short off season + late start = a lot of players skipping Olympics

If the NBA is not letting all 30 teams finish the season they should give all the teams not playing the same odds in the lottery. The Pistons sold their soul to tank out the remainder of the season and got stopped at the fifth worst record when they easily could hit #2 if they played the season out, even only 8 games.

Why?

I get this sucks for the Pistons, but they played like 65 games. No legitimate reason to change the rules. A couple teams benefit, a couple teams don’t.

Maybe next year the Pistons will start their tank sooner.

Lakers'll just beat both their asses at the same time.

Haven't read much on next season (other than 12/1 start) but guessing a shorter season next season has to be a consideration. Probably what I'd do.

doubt it would happen, but couldn't they also worsen their chances if they played more games?

Just Saw this list of venues Ohio is reopening on June 10:

Indoor family entertainment centers
Indoor sports facilities
Laser tag facilities
Movie theaters
Playgrounds
Public recreation centers
Roller skating rinks
Trampoline parks

Probably should have just announced kids birthday parties are free to resume.

Shit, he just had 2 months off....lol

If the Clippers win the championship this year:

1) Kawhi will be mentioned above KD because of his 3 championships with 3 teams. KD will be pissed even more.
2) Lebron doesn't win another title, so Klutch is gonna cry some more.
3) James Harden still doesn't win anything.
4) Giannis doesn't win a title and requests a trade to the Warriors.

Good luck @Mecca on behalf of all Warriors fans.

Wait, you are actually saying no legitimate reason to change the rules in a season when the rules for the entire end of the season have been changed?
