Ah that feeling you had three years ago that Crosby would miss a 1/3 of the season must've felt good.

Pens played great without Criesby. It was after Criesby’s return that they started to tank. Could have been the Cuntzal injury, but wasn’t Criesby.

I agree, depth is great, but those 3 could all be back too. But you're question was why wouldn't a young player want to sign with the Flyers. He is old for his draft year. He is already 23. There will be no guarantee he makes the roster this year. If he wants a better situation where there is a clear spot open on the top 6 waiting a couple weeks to sign with the team of his choosing makes sense.
This is true. My original question should've been who wouldn't want to play for a young team who will have a shot at a cup for a long time and would have to work hard to get in the line up.

Saw a rumor that Oskar could be back for playoffs.

Now, if we can only hypnotize Carter Hart into believe these are all home games, we will be in great shape.

Hart has been playing a little better on the road as of the last couple games of the season. It would be great if that could continue but if not it would be great if we could rely on Elliott to help out.

Could be a blessing in a weird way, that Cahtah's first playoff experience is in a wacky season in a single town (hoping for a multiple series conference run). Everyone will be experience the wackiness at the same time.....

Giroux is a Flyer legend, already. I don't care what anyone says. Yes, he's 32 years old now, but that doesn't take away from his career numbers in the regular season and playoffs.

Have some fucking respect, really.

Remember when everyone here said he was dead and gone? Then, he came back with 102 and 85 point seasons respectively...Lol

Seriously, just keep doubting this dude.

I don't know why some of you are even fans of this team. You hate every player on the team and every decision the GM or coach makes...Lol

We're actually in a great position right now when the season resumes.

Our pristine record of 18-5-1 since January 11th has guaranteed us a top four seed and given us a legitimate shot at the number one overall seed, which even without fans, is still valuable in hockey due to the last change.

We're very much a young, hungry team, but also still have a lot of veteran leadership and guys that know how to compete for the Cup. Niskanen has won it and played in 125 playoff games along the way. Guys like Braun, Thompson, Elliott, Hayes, Voracek and even Couturier bring a lot of playoff experience to the table too.

I just watched game 6 (and game 3, which I attended) of the 2010 Cup Finals again. Honestly, if not for Michael Leighton, Giroux and JvR probably would've had their names on the Cup after that series. The goals he gave up in game 6 were terrible, especially the Cup-clincher to Kane. You'll probably never see a softer goal win a Cup.

That would change the narrative on Giroux and JvR significantly to this day.
