It sounds good on paper but this isn't the NFL where you have some level of consistency. You might only have these really good players for two seasons. First year they are learning the system and soph and Jr years they ball out. How much can you change when they will be gone and someone with a different skill set will be there next season. You can't totally change things year to year. I understand what you're saying but I imagine it's not that easy. Coaches have their philosophy and they want to keep it as much as possible.
As fans we can see the results and its easy for us to bitch. With Pentergast I think he just stuck to what he knew without slowly evolving with the new offenses.

It comes down to this:

Can you put the players on the field in the best position to succeed?

I'll be interested in seeing how the overall health of the defense goes.. Last season we were devastated. Seems like the players loved to hit, but using it's shoulders.
Latest bowl projections has Texas facing USC in postseason

You guys notice a certain Husky fan isn't around as much? I'm guessing all the political stuff going on is keeping him busy. I'm staying out of the political board these days because of how much of a cess pool it is normally I can just imagine how it is right now.

I've noticed less bullshit posts on the CFB forum...the two are probably related.

Cal at #2 in the north is more indicative of what people think Washington will be like with Lake this year. No one thinks Cal is really that close to Oregon. If lake is anywhere close to what Husky fans expect of him they should be in the second spot nipping on oregons heals.
