This should make some people happy. ....
Texans acquired WR Brandin Cooks and a 2022 fourth-round pick from the Rams in exchange for the No. 57 overall pick of the 2020 draft.
Makes me happy. Should become the Texans WR1. Rams got a better return then I thought they could. I don't own Cook but in one league , but Yah for me in that league.

I also own Woods and Kupp in a couple of leagues and this is a boost for them. Awesome.

One thing for sure - - he has a great chance at that since you can't catch passes on the sideline - i.e. Fuller.

Dalvin Cook says he is the NFL's best RB.

Kiss of death.

All they have are deep guys.

Fuller, Cooks, Stills

#57 is a good get for the Rams.

Sounds like the Rams could use some of the bailout $$$
--------------
Over The Cap estimates the $21.8 million in dead money the Rams are eating in the Brandin Cooks trade is a new record.

Todd Gurley's cap charge also exceeded $20 million following his release, leaving behind two staggering phantom numbers on the Rams' books.

Saints signed QB Taysom Hill to a two-year, $21 million contract.
Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports the deal includes $16 million guaranteed. Good grief. It is a staggering amount of money for a "quarterback" who attempted six passes last season even as Drew Brees missed five games. Hill handled a modest 46 touches as an offensive weapon. He was efficient both as a runner and receiver, but it is extremely hard to believe the Saints could not receive similar wild cat production from a running back or receiver. Paying Hill this kind of money when he once again will not even be Brees' official backup — Jameis Winston is poised to sign — is frankly ludicrous. It almost has to hint at an expanded role for 2020. Coach Sean Payton is one of the NFL's top minds, but he is really out there with this one.
-------------------------------------------------
Obviously, they see something in the guy that no one else does - or he's engaged to Payton's daughter. ...

call me crazy, but I don't think Brees is playing NFL football after this season.
can't imagine Hill becoming the man, but keeping guys that know your system around is never a bad thing imo.
Jameis/Hill tandem in 21-22....i can dig that

Well, Frank Gore found a job with the Jets. ... and I see Lynch is in negotiations with Seattle (again). ... it's a 3 way fight to see who is the last man standing - Gore, Lynch, Peterson. ...

"2019 Deep Ball Accuracy

Yes, Kyler Murray, in his rookie season, was the most accurate deep passer in the 2019-20 Deep Ball Project. He was even more accurate than the top-ranked deep passer in 2018, which was Andrew Luck (60.0%). I'm not ready to confirm Murray as the best deep passer since he has one season in him, but he's off to a tremendous start.

Distance: accuracy splits of 21-30 and 31-plus air yards

While Kyler Murray wasn't fantastic throwing between 21 and 30 yards, he was sensational past 31-plus, with the highest accuracy percentage in this split (and it wasn't even close, though some might be less impressed with his 14 attempts here).

By Direction: how each quarterback fared throwing to the left, middle, and right areas of the field.

Three quarterbacks (Kyler Murray, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Joe Flacco) tied for second, but it's Murray with the highest sample size of the three.

Shotgun vs. Under Center

Certain quarterbacks rarely threw under center, so their rankings here are meaningless. Most notably, this includes Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray; the two of them ranked low in accuracy in this area, but they combined for only four passes. Murray was the most accurate deep passer from the shotgun, while Jackson ranked 10th.

In vs. Out of Pocket

Obviously, the more mobile quarterbacks have more of a sample size of plays outside the pocket, but this is yet another category where Kyler Murray ranked No. 1 in accuracy. In fact, the seven most accurate deep passers from this year's project are in the exact same order in this category.

Personal note: I'm 110% surprised he beat out Mahomes, Wilson and Watson.

Playing Under Pressure

Not only was Kyler Murray the most accurate deep passer under pressure, he was the most accurate by a significant margin (77.8% compared to second-place Lamar Jackson at 66.7%). It just goes to show how incredible Murray's accuracy was under duress behind an offensive line that certainly gave him enough practice.

Yet again, Kyler Murray leads another stat, this time in deep accuracy against edge pressure. No one was close to touching his 90.9% accuracy rate, though fellow rookie Daniel Jones impressed by tying for second with the largest sample size of the three quarterbacks that finished in that same spot.

Open and Tight Windows: Open-window throws essentially include plays where the receivers provided clear separation and more room for error for the quarterback, whereas tight-window throws include plays with extremely tight coverage without much in the way of separation.

Tight windows, Kyler Murray finished second in this area, proving the quality of his season as a deep passer wasn't just the product of many open looks. The top two MVP candidates, Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson, also finished inside the top four, and Deshaun Watson was the only quarterback to finish in the top five in accuracy in both open- and tight-window throws."

Was compiling some team stats last night after a long day of digging up sod/landscaping.
NOTE: I adjusted the data only for the skill and non-QB positions. (So no QB rushing stats are included.)

Here's some trivia:

Name the top 5 teams who called the most plays to the RB-WR-TE?
LAR 975
PHI 974
DAL 973
CAR & SF 960

Name the bottom 5 teams who called the least plays to the RB-WR-TE?
WSH 787
TEN 801
DEN 806
BAL & BUF 820

Name the top 5 teams that passed more than they ran?
MIA 70/30 split
ATL & NYG 65/35 split
TB 64/36 split
CAR 63/37 split
Name the teams on the other side, who ran more than the other teams?
MIN 50/50 split
BAL 48/52 split
TEN, OAK, & SF 47/53 split

Ya know what's really cool about those figures? Unless I missed one, only Dallas and Carolina changed head coaches. Those ratios should remain similar this upcoming season.

Giants lost Shurmur.
Vikings lost Stefanski (kubiak stayed so probably a wash).

Figure this was random. In a rookie draft right now. Pick 1.06 is mine. Been trying really hard to trade it because ...you know all the good RBs being gone and all. So the draft went CEH, Taylor, Akers and get this ..........KeShawn Vaughn. I'm saved!!!!!! No need to trade that pick now.:pound:

I ended moving up one pick to the 1.05. Traded my 1.06 & 3.03 for 1.05 and 3.06. Price was right.
