I think legal troubles will ultimately keep him out. Not just the past and present, but it seems like only a matter of time before he does something really crazy and gets himself locked up for a long time.

No. Had he not gone insane and kept his head down and kept producing, yes. But getting himself kicked out of the league while still in his prime is not going to get him looked at favorably.

How does that have anything to do with what he did on the field? He was basically elite/best WR for six seasons straight. He belongs in the HOF.

I just have a feeling that everything that's transpired over the last couple years will overshadow anything he did on the field. He easily could have continued to play and become one of the GOAT WRs that would unquestionably be HOF. But all the nonsense of these past couple seasons will end up hurting his HOF status, I believe.

I didn't realize he was so low on so many career lists.

But that six year run is as good as we've ever seen from a receiver and if Terrell Davis can get in on similar logic Brown can too.

TD was a Super Bowl MVP. What is Brown gonna be remembered most for? Having a promising career cut short by injuries, like Davis, or having his promising career cut short because he burned bridges and threw a bag of gummy penises at his ex?
