The game was different back then. I never said it was a sure thing that his coaches wouldn’t have figured out how special he was and unleashed him. But it would have been a lot less likely because coaches taught the game differently. The range of outcomes for 90s Curry would have included a lot of alternatives nowhere near stardom.

OK...and my only comment on the matter is he's be a way better player than Steve Kerr if dropped into the 90s. A spot up shooter, off the bench role player? was he going to forget he knew how to create his own shot?

If you believe you can make FTs at a higher rate than I can make 3s, then take my bet.

Dude, I was on your side. I believe he would be good in that era.

But there is also a chance he wouldn’t have developed the same way if handcuffed by coaches along the way. Which was very possible.

Actually, I wondered why you thought it was necessary to bring it up and why your coach didn't see enough in you to play you more.

Think what you want. The prevailing mindset of the era was inside out play. Guards did not pull op for 3 off the dribble like they do today.

It was a story that illustrated the difference in thinking. Very few coaches truly understood the power of the 3 and it shows when you look at how much 3 point attempts have increased over the years. That is fact.

If I am giving you a significant edge like this one, then it will be an avi bet or something like that. But yes, I will definitely make that bet.
