Norman may not have as much to offer per se, but it’s a nice college town and at least I can get across Norman in a decent amount of time between the hours of 7-10am and 4:00-7:00pm. I don’t mind a big city but Dallas is all spread out with no way to get around besides sitting your happy ass in traffic, and there’s not enough there to make up for that. Norman is a 20 minute drive from downtown OKC which has plenty to offer as well.

I didn’t argue that the business opportunities in DFW weren’t better.

Chik-Fil-A managers? Lol, more like run your companies.

He’s a DE we’re hoping will grow into a 3tech in Grinch’s scheme.
I was saying that because Texas offered him yesterday I believe and now some sooner fans on message boards think that he wants to stay closer to home, but his parents would like the academics Texas offers (closer to ND than ou). TBH I haven't watched any of that kids film since he committed to ND so early. I do like Jones the DE/OLB from McKinney that Texas recently offered and ou has since started following him on twitter.

Again I haven't dug in on this kid at all, I didn't even know what to think of this offer tbh. Maybe there is smoke? WHo knows other than that Drumm is a fanboy crybaby

Meh. If I’ve learned anything it’s that fans on team message boards are idiots. We’ll see what happens, but I really think the whole “academics” thing is largely overblown with recruits.

4 Star LB Chaz Chambliss out of Georgia committed to UGA. Mid level 4 star, didn't really know he was on the radar. I'll take him though.

I agree for the most part but there are recruits who do. Ossai was a heavy aggy lean however his parents pushed him towards UT because of school. It's the reason why even though the Brocks love Saban, Momma Brock plays school and they will end up in Austin this summer. So academics do matter with some recruitments, but i think it's more rare than anything since everyone is telling these kids they will be in the NFL in 3 years regardless

Was a staff priority, actually. He will add 30 pounds and will likely end up playing with his hand in the dirt. He's a 247 composite top 250, but will likely end up much higher if they have summer camps, and after senior year. His ranking on 247 (NR) is way off from Rivals (185) and ESPN (85). I'll bet he ends up around 150. Plays in Ga 6A (out of 7A).

JUNIOR YEAR - Carrollton High School
