Even if we beat Georgia, you still have to win the head to head. Not seeing it, they have way more overall talent.
We will see. Anything can happen in rivalries, as you well know. Should be quite a game.

Congratulations on your NCG loss. You must feel quite proud.
Not at all ... just pointing out that we are relevant and UF isn't. You can admit it ... you'd rather have our level of recent success over yours. You are safe here ... you can open up.

Got real fortunate with those crossover games. Still not sure FSU is going to be worth a damn next year either. Not a tough true road game all season other than maybe Tennessee. Sheesh.
Their schedule is the main thing they have going for them. But they have to beat us in Jax, and that won't happen. They'll be lucky to score more than 14 points. It will be interesting to see if we can score 15 or more.

That's going to be a really fun game to watch. I'm hoping to see Trask and Newman both play well. I could see it being a slugfest though.

Please keep your voice down over there at the kids table. Win something, then you can speak.

Stop using "kids table" ... it's an overused trite expression on sports boards. I've forgotten more about college football than you've ever known. And you can rely on your 90s and 00s all you want ... I'm into what's being done recently, and you guys are and will remain irrelevant.

Surprisingly, I probably even have more Gator cred than you do. So, pipe down and try to get relevant going forward.

You have to score to have a slugfest ... they don't have the personnel to do that against our D. I get the doubts about our O, but I don't get people not understanding how good our D is.

I disagree. You have to score to have a shootout. A slugfest IMO is a physical, close game that isn't a ton of points.

Fair enough ... guess I was confusing slugfest and shootout. With the addition of JT Daniels, our QB room just got way better.

The past 40 years of football resulted in one NCG appearance (which you lost).

:spit:

Get back to me when you can win in Jax, or until you get to Atlanta. Until then you're the no 3 program in the East.

Is that official now?
Not totally, but he is in the school database, but not yet enrolled. That means he has applied and been accepted, working on enrolling.

Not sure how good he is, but certainly helps our QB room situation.

I already had you guys high up there in my own ranking, but come on man. Daniels wasn't good enough to start for a middling team in the Pac-12. He got beat out by a true freshman, which is why he transferred.

I think Slovis is really really good. Nothing against JT, since I think he's a stud too. Guess we'll find out soon enough

Not everyone who get beat out by an underclassman is Blake Barnett. There have been plenty of qb's whose career has been revived by a change in venue. The portal has changed the landscape.

I've seen Slovis mocked as a 1st rounder in 2022. No shame in getting beat out by him. Plus it was the first year in their new system so having a full season of game experience is a huge advantage for Slovis. I think Daniels is the more talented guy, and it wouldn't surprise me if he played his way into the 1st or 2nd round when he leaves UGA.

Good point. Revived and/or grow up to an extent. It is looking more and more like it might be better to get one of these guys after they've gotten their "comeuppance" at another place.

I actually agree with this. Daniels was not good in his season at the helm. Granted he was a freshman and USC sucked in general that year, but that was also largely due to his subpar play in a weaker Power 5 conference in a bad division. I’d be surprised if he ever starts at Georgia even after Newman leaves. Speaking of Newman that’s a bad ass QB UGA landed. He’ll have tremendous success. Too bad he’ll only be there for one year.
