Just add another Post RamCub. If your hardware is giving you fits, just go with the flow. We shall all understand.

Don't be surprised if Brandon Polk not only makes the Rams roster but gets some noticeable playing time as a deep threat. He has blazing speed and is turning some heads.

Johnny Hekker has stated in several interviews that he likes the Snowman and the Canadian kicker comimg into camp. Should be interesting to see who becomes the next long-distance kicker with accuracy.

Akers is not quite the same size as Gurley but he will be weight-wise in the future. He has a lower center of gravity and he is more difficult to bring down. He will have to work on his pass-catching skills out of the backfield but I like what he is going to become with a couple years in the NFL under the tutelage in a McVay offense.

Man I love this video, not so much the commentary, because the dude does a poor job describing what is actually happening.

On the first play, it too is really about 'vision' as the commentator describes the next play. He states the blocking assignments right, and ID's the un-blocked D-player too, but when he says LB does a pretty good job to get in position, he is totally wrong. When you look pre-snap, the LB is lined up to protect the A Gap, then, as you roll through the clip, you can see this play is clearly designed to run through the B Gap. This is where Cam shines with his vision! Akers 'sells' the A Gap with a move to the left just after the snap, the LB reacts and sticks to his D assignment, but is now out of position.

That subtle move to the left, sells the play, and enables Akers to get by the LB, and run to the end zone, again, not so much displaying his ability to break tackles rather to get players out of position because he understands what the defense is trying to do.

Same thing here on the next play, however the commentator stops short on why Cam was able to make such a quick decision to move to the outside. Cam ID's the defense was protecting that double team with the Safety moving up to the LB position on the left side, so he runs right....

On the next play, he faults Cam for 'jumping' on the catch, however I think it was the right action. The DB (no 28) was chasing on a crossing route right behind Akers, so Cam jumps allowing him to 'box out' in case the DB falls off the route and fight for an INT.

On the 3rd play, the commentator describes it pretty well, I do think Cam's vision goes to the right just after he clears the B Gap and slightly puts the LB out of position. The LB knew he was the only LB available on the inside, so he had to protect the cutback in case the DB was out of position. So the LB only gets his hands on one foot, and Cam breaks free.

From there on out I think the commentary is pretty solid...

Damn this Covid stuff has me working my ass off!

Finally got a minute to myself and I drill this vid...
