Kenseth still had tread on the tires when he was pretty well forced to retire. I'd still take him over Chastain despite the layoff.

I thought it would be Jamie McMurray though.

FWIW, both Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano deserved what they got.

With the Keselowski incident, Denny Hamlin was also looking for him, and Tony Stewart wasn't too happy with him. Brad had a few week stretch there where he was out of control. Was just a few weeks later when he and Jeff Gordon got into it(though, Jeff came down on Brad IMO, so Brad really wasn't out of line in that one).

With the Logano incident, Joey wrecked Kenseth for the lead in the closing laps a few weeks earlier, and nearly wrecked him again at Talladega. I have no problem with what Joey did, but if you're gonna spin someone out on purpose, you're eventually gonna get paid back

It was bullshit that they suspended him 2 races for that.

They didn't do anything to Jeff Gordon when he essentially did the same thing to Clint Bowyer, except, Gordon didn't have the courtesy to not collect innocent bystanders in the mess(Joey Logano and Aric Almirola got collected), and Gordon didn't have a legit reason to be mad at Bowyer to begin with. And then the candy ass hid behind his crew when Clint was looking for him.
