Franco was a hitting machine.

problem for him is most voters weren’t ranger fans that long ago.

And I believe signed Clark for more money than they offered Palmeiro which ticked him off of course at the time. He ended up with the same 5 year deal for a fraction more money than Clark. Based on what WilltheThrill stated I am sure that was important to Raffy.
I would imagine that was important to him and imagine it would have been to a lot of guys. The stats over the course of the duration of their contracts proved that Raffy was worth more money. Our management saw that as well and resigned Raffy as soon as they could.

We wanted Raffy to give us a big discount. When he didn't do so right away, we went to Plan B and signed Clark. At the time many fans considered Clark a distant Plan B. It was a rash, hasty decision and to many fans a very bad decision. We were too cheap.

Ha exactly how I thought you would put it. But yes the difference ended up being a slap in the fac as I remember.

Despite any steroid pointing, he had maybe the best swings to make contact ever as a Ranger. That had nothing to do with anything injected

I have not watched one Ranger game rerun FSSW is peddling right now. I was watching some exhibition games before everything got turned upside down.

I voted for Julio Franco.
He accomplished the rare feat of a RH hitter winning the batting title. If MY stayed at 2b I might pick him because he was actually decent there on defense and we know about his hitting prowess.

I went Kinsler though Franco was a great hitter too with less power more average, don't think people could be faulted one way or another

Read Josh Hamilton was indicted 4-8-20 stemming back to September 2019 on charges of harming his daughter. No details given.

I am ready for baseball to return as well as a lot of other things. Although, I am not a fan of the idea of playing regular season games in empty spring training facilities in Arizona.

I would just as soon see them return to ST sometime in mid May and then starting the regular season in June, in big league ballparks. If they aren't ready for fans until late June that is fine. They can play 2 or 3 weeks without fans if need be.

I don't think they want to play in big league parks without fans. Hard to tell how this is going to go. My original guess was first real games July 4 with fans. But that is a shot in the dark

At this point every thing is a shot in the dark. Can't begin to guess when we will see the next game. The experts change and learn things every day. No doubt it is important to start ASAP for many reasons.

Wondering how you do MLB without the minors. Really strange year

I am wondering how all of this affects some teams financially. Will this force any into bankruptcy? Will this greatly reduce what free agents will get in this coming offseason and maybe for the next couple of years?

I can’t be the only fan here who would be stoked about the divisions.

we might actually make the playoffs with that alignment. It would also give us another year to try and catch up to the hated Astros.

i would think they are going to have to raise the roster numbers from 26 to somewhere in the 32 to 36 range with 26 being on game day. it would give the teams room to cover injuries etc. when ST was cancelled most teams still had rosters over 40 so go with it

Hope this finds all of you well and safe. Have a happy Easter. @Nightcrawler put all the Easter eggs back and let the little one's find them.
