Time to start a new thread rather than update Jelly Washington commitment

We currently have 3 scholarships open

We've already lost one MN player to Baylor (Dainja) and all signs point suggs towards Gonzaga (damnit)

Would be nice if they can convince Dawson Garcia to stay home, he fits need at PF. Would like like to another PG as we always seem to be short a ball handler, and wing

Is that too much to ask?

Garcia Sets an official to MN

Jamal Mashburn Jr (Yup, son of Jamal Mashburn) is trending towards MN commit. He visits Oct 5th, I'm hearing he's about 75% committed, hopefully pitino can close

Jamal Mashburn Jr., Brewster Academy, Shooting Guard

We're in good shape with Walton, MN kid. I'm hearing it's about 50% (considering how many teams are after him, that's not bad...)

Kerwin Walton, Hopkins , Shooting Guard

Few others to keep eye on that have visted/scheduled visits

Gethro Muscadin
Gethro Muscadin, Aspire Basketball Academy, Center (BK)

So while still at 0 commits, heating up and I expect 1-2 soon. Wouldn't be surprised if we had to fill third spot in Spring

Many people think Masburn Jr will be next (Thursday I heard he's expected to announce, we're the favorite)

And rumblings are good on Garcia

This would be an excellent class

Gopher Basketball lands second 2020 commit Jamal Mashburn Jr

One scholarship left, most likely looking for a big

Dawson Garcia, Prior Lake, Power Forward

Is top priority and sounds like he's a currently a gopher lean

That would be a fantastic class (at least on paper)

Garcia is not a gopher lean right now not even close. They are gaining traction.

But right now Marquette is the current front runner with Indiana and Archie gaining massive steam. Those are the top 2.

Gophs and Memphis have gotten themselves into the conversation no doubt.

The Indiana visit next weekend will be the crucial turning point.

That isn't what I'm hearing, Garcia visit here went very well, and staying home is intriguing to him and family

Marquette already has 2 4 star PF commits, I'm not saying they're out, but would be odd.

He's far from sure or even most likely thing to MN.

Every recruiting expert is currently saying its Marquette slightly in front of Indiana(with Archie gaining steam). Marquette and Indiana's insiders both saying the same thing. Memphis Is definitely in 4th but they have quite the pitch with their current recruiting efforts.

Marquette needs bigs. Lewis is a wing and Osa is basically the opposite of a Garcia. Dawson is very much the target.

Gophs are alive and they have a shot but personally I give Indiana the edge having that guranteed final visit. If he then gives Marquette another visit I think it shifts back to MU.

If the Gophs survive the Indiana visit and he doesnt go back to Milwaukee, then I think the gophs are in good fortune.

That is last of our scholarships unless Carr does indeed go Pro (I expect him to return)

I'm guessing that's end of Kerwin Walton. Although if tells Pitino he wants in, you tell Greenlee or Freeman to take a hike
