Following their decision to cut Gurley, the Rams owed him a $7.55 million roster bonus. Because of offset language in Gurley's contract, the team does not have to pay him $2.5 million of what is owed. How can a team not pay a player? That doesn't sound like a thing.

Matthews was due a fully guaranteed $2 million roster bonus, however his contract also has offsetting language for $2 million.
It's not trash, it's a flushing toilet.Guys, the stadium is billions of dollars over budget and construction is being rushed in spite of multiple workers testing positive for covid-19. They also spent millions on a logo that everyone thinks is trash and uniforms that will no doubt also be trash.
They are tapped out. Gurley and Matthews need to cut them a break.
I can't figure out from that article if they owe them money or not
yeah talk about being tone deaf. I always liked Gurley and felt bad about his bad knee crushing an otherwise great young career. Now he can go suck a dick as far as I'm concerned.Kinda looks like they owe Gurley about 5 mil. Seems like chump change for them, imo. But I doubt these players know how to read, let alone sort out the language on a contract. My guess is the Rams don't have to pay these guys until a certain date so they aren't.
Having said that, for Gurley to be bitching on social media about this is pretty trifling b.s. if you ask me. Meanwhile families are just trying to survive in these troubled times and unable to go to work. Fucking insensitive asshole, imo.
