Seeing this tweet first thing this morning pissed me off... and I didn't want to be the only one pissed off today.

Many forget that TO had hurt his ankle bad in week 16 I think. He wasn’t the same. A lot of bad stuff happened in that game. The first drive for the Giants we kept giving them an extra set of downs by jumping off sides.

I still say the Pats would have killed us in the Super Bowl but it would be nice to have gone.

There was so much that went against us. The Ware horrible offsides call on 3rd down where we should have gotten the ball back followed the next play by a Toomer 60 or so yard slant for a TD was the worst. The Romo intentional grounding that shouldn't have been because the rule explicitly stated to avoid a sack and no one was near him. A banged up TO as you mentioned, being covered all game by a decimated secondary including a guy that was on the street a few weeks before with no help. Barber running for like 100 yards in the first half and destroying the Giants and us not giving him the ball in the second even though our passing game was crap. Dropped passes, dumb plays by the QB, penalties on Offense, Crayton stopping his route instead of continuing into the corner of the end zone for a possible huge play. Wasn't that also the "Jessica Simpson game" where they kept showing her?. That was a tough one to take...

Yes the Toomer play was the first drive I think. That may have been the Jessica game. The year before was Carrie Underwood vs Philly. It was one of the worst games I’ve ever seen Romo play. It was on Christmas Day. He may have had games where he threw more INTs or had a worse rating, but I swear that was the worst ever

It was the “Jessica” game... because my wife really wanted one of those pink jerseys.

I’m happy to report she never received one from me and therefore never received one period.

If that game didn't show you garrett couldn't run an offense worth a shit jerry, then I guess nothing will accept mediocrity for another 13 or so years.

If a team were to trade for Jamal Adams he would cost them $825,000 against the cap this year, which is the last year of his rookie deal, and has a 5th year option for next year. Even if you couldn't agree to a contract with him and lose him after that you get a dirt cheap year and a reasonable year out of it. Pick #17 sure sounds worth that to me.

The above assumes Football will be played this year and I think it will be even if we lose a month on the front end

I think you are right. The Cowboys pass rush other than Ware was subpar. Brady would have had a huge game

We played them week 6 that year @ home. They destroyed us. Our defense couldn’t stop them. They had 4 good WRs, including Moss. Anything can happen in a one game scenario though. As good as I thought we were then, I thought the Giants had a lot better pass rush. The 2007 Pats were the best team I’ve ever seen. That’s just my opinion

If not for a little known TE catching a ball off of his helmet and squeezing it so it doesn't hit the ground, after Eli doing the biggest sack escape of his life, I think pretty much everyone would look at them as the best ever.

It's amazing what one play can do...game of inches...:2cents:

Yep. Amazing play. I was just amazed at how well the Giants D played that game. It seems like one of the Giants players had said during the week that they thought they could hold the Pats to two TDs. Moss and Brady kind of laughed it off. I remember the Ravens had them on the ropes late in the season but they pulled it out at the end.

By this time Garretts offense had gone stale. Teams had figured out how to stop it. Cowboys probably should have won, but I think the Patriots would have killed the Cowboys if they had it to the Superbowl. Then fast forward 12 years and the team was still making the same dumb mistakes. Garrett should have not been extended after the 2015 season.

If I remember correctly Asante Samuel had a pick go through his hands that would have sealed the game possibly before that catch. The Giants defense was the MVP of that game, not Eli Manning. That catch was so lucky. Eli just threw it up hoping for a miracle and it happened.
