I wonder a little of the same thing for Bolles. Something that is so very odd about him last year is his best games happened on the road. The home crowd turned on him before the season even started so every penalty was magnified all the more. He could go out and have a great season this next year but the 1st holding call he gets on the season the crowd will boo him.

Yeah- I know in talking to Rahim Moore back then, that it really bothered him how much hate he got from the fanbase.

Something I worried about with Marcus Williams of the Saints after he gave up that Diggs, touchdown! He seems to have rebounded well though.

Remember when Rahim Moore had that rare leg injury vs the Chiefs in the MNF game? Nearly lost his leg. Had to go overseas to rehab.

Ron Dane damn the guy sucked but for one year he was alright for the Broncos hell he won the blueberry pie during thanksgiving the game. He ran for like 250 yards or someting like that.

When I think of Ron Dayne. I don't think of him as sucking, but I do think of the Thanksgiving game and he didn't live up to his college hype. I feel like Dayne was playing in the NFL at a time when the RB position was changing into a faster position.

I feel like Derrick Henry might be bringing back the Ron Dayne's of the world.

Running over smaller quick LB's who are primary drafted/signed because of the faster RB's in today's game.

We were very injury riddled at WR and RB at this time.
Rod Smith is doing his thing in the game.

We had to use TE Matt Dominquez as a WR wearing #49. There is a name I haven't thought about for awhile.

OL

Lennie Friedman
Dan Neil
Steve Herndon
Matt Lepsis
Tom Nalen

Mike Anderson TD!!!!

I spy Chester McClockton John Mobley fumble recovery!!! (I have a Mobley jersey)

Ian Gold was so fast. Loved that guy. Sad when he left then he came back a year later! :-)
Wilson, Mobley and Gold was a fun LB duo. Speeeeeed!!

I got Gold to sign my jersey one year. Have it hanging on my wall.

Touchdown Carswell!

Eric Brown just knocked out Emmitt Smith. That guy could hit but he sure couldn't cover. Kenoy Kennedy on same safety unit as Brown.

Remember Eric Brown's rookie year??? He beat Braxton out for the starting safety spot. Braxton then retired after the season. I think he still ended up starting most of the year because Brown couldn't cover.
This reminds me of the safety tandem Shanhan loved to have. Two guys that could hit but not cover.

Pryce slaps the ball out of Leaf's hand.. Picks it back up goes deep. Detha O'Neal gets his hands on it but drops it.. Would have been his 8th pick of the year. Denard Walker solid in coverage.

Brian Griese was a one-hit-wonder after he wiped out his shoulder after his rooky year he was never the same.

Griese hit more than once tripping over his dog and falling down the stairs.

BTW- This isn't the Ron Dayne game. That was another thanksgiving day game. Dayne played for Denver in 2005.

Denver DB field during this game

Denard Walker
Deltha O'Neal
Kenoy Kennedy
Eric Brown
Jimmy Spencer
Eric Davis (past his prime)

Back during this time we carried two fullbacks. Tony Carter (Not the CB) was a pretty good FB.

and there is one of the Broncos that drove me nuts the most! Kavika Pittman!!! Man that guy was so unproductive after getting a big contract from us, we had to keep him around because of his contract. Worse players on our roster, but he irked me for some reason.

This was the year we signed Pittman and Denard Walker to big contracts in free agency. Neither really was worth it. Walker was ok though.

Another name to mention in Mingo's question... A player remembered for a single "Bad" play...

Stephen Alexander... Remember when Darrent William's PR was called back because Alexander came on the field too early in celebration?

Speaking of Dale Carter... His son, Nigel Warrior is in this years draft. Probably be a priority FA with a shot at going late.

I really have no reason for this, and aside from Champ, my two favorite DB's in Denver's history were Willie Middlebrooks and Lenny Walls. I remember Walls was a freak with measurables, but never really got better. I remember playing Madden and working him till he rivaled Deion.

Wonder what happened to them.

2017 Carlos Henderson was a complete bust. Ate MJ. Chris Godwin went 2 picks later. He would be our #2 right now and Denver would not have to use a high pick on a WR.
